5°CSunny

hey everyone! went fishing in the snowy mountains near canberra today and wow, what a beautiful sunny day it was! woke up early, around 6, and got to the spot just in time for sunrise. the water was super calm but pretty cold, like only 5 degrees outside. i brought my trusty spinning rod with a light line and some small spinners. fished for about 4 hours and caught 4 rainbow trout, all around 2lbs. they were biting like crazy! even saw a couple of guys up the creek who weren't having much luck. all in all, a great day on the water despite the chilly air. can’t wait to hit it again soon!

11°CLight rain shower

hit the river this morning, was a bit rainy but i was determined to get out there. the temp was chilly at about 10 degrees, but it wasn't too windy. managed to hook a couple of nice trout, around 2-3lbs each. i was using a black and gold minnow lure, seemed to do the trick! got soaked but it was worth it, the bites were insane. can’t wait to go again when the weather clears up a bit, hopefully next weekend!

4°CHeavy snow

heavy snow today, what were we thinking going out? not much happening aside from freezing! i did bring in a tiny brook trout but that’s it. used a jig and it barely worked. it was more about survival than fishing and we got cold fast. I think ill stick to warmer days!
