Today we departed on Bob Vance's annual 5-day charter. It's always great to see Bob and his group. He is one of our longest running charters, and while there are always a couple new faces, there a quite a few that have been with Bob since the beginning. We spent the day traveling, preparing our gear, and dined on a monstrous grilled steak and potato for dinner. We are underway and anxious to get our lines in the water. Check in tomorrow. Yesterday we had good fishing on wahoo in the morning and excellent fishing on tuna in the afternoon. The average weight on the tuna ranged from 45-70 lbs. Our weather is still good. Chef Tommy put out some great meals again. Lunch yesterday was yellowtail served over fresh spinach, surrounded by black beans with a spicy avocado cilantro sauce. And dinner was cornish game hens topped with a spicy apricot sauce on wild rice with grilled asparagus on the side. Fishing this morning has started off again with wahoo biting and this afternoon we will fish the tuna again. We still have some open spots on *Sept. 8th* an 8 day trip if you want to come get some of these wahoo. Give Susan a call 619-390-7890.

Today was a tough day. The fish were there and the conditions were good, the fish were just less eager. Everyone was on the right program when it came to hustling the fish in to avoid the sharks. So the opportunities we did have we were able to capitalize on. Pictured here are fishing buddies Sean with Mark, and Dennis with Travis showing off their captures! Good going guys!

Hi friends. A little weekend wrap-up for you all to update our doings down at the boatyard. The hull and outer bulwarks are completely finished and it looks amazing. Jesus and the boys did a fantastic job and the only parts left to paint are the inner bulwarks, the deck and we've spent the better parts of Friday and Saturday sanding, grinding, and acid washing the "bus stop" and the bait tank so that they can be painted this upcoming week. Starting on Monday, along with the painting, it's time to get prepared to ready the boat to get back in the water and hopefully, we'll be placed back in the water on either Friday or next Monday. Our fingers are crossed!

With that, we'd like you all to keep Jed in your thoughts and prayers. Last Friday, Jed was involved in accident with a machete and severed a tendon in his thumb. He is supposed to have surgery this week to repair the tendon and his expected recovery time will be all the way until August. Obviously, Jed won't be on the boat for a few months so keep him in your thoughts and we'll let you know how he's doing now and then.

Yesterday morning we had some good fishing and the albacore and some great fishing on the yellowtail. Midday we got a nice round on the bluefin and late in the day we were back with the albacore biting full speed. It was a fantastic day. Weather was good and is still nice today. This morning we had a nice hit on the albacore. We have had some requests in the office to post the meals we serve on board, so we'll start putting some of that information on as well. Last night Chef Pedro served a wonderful duck breast fillet served in natural pan sauce. It was excellent. The night before we dined on salmon with a lemon, butter caper sauce. Also very tasty.

Some of our lunches on this trip were pork carnitas, with all the toppings and sides, and one day we had chicken marinara with pasta. Food and fishing is excellent! Paul Hess's group has also been excellent.

We will be into the dock tomorrow morning at 6am.

This is mostly a kids/beginners group, ideal for experienced anglers to bring their children or kids on a boat in a friendly and limited load environment.
