What a great day of fishing. Just couldn't be better. Everyone has had their fill of albacore so we are heading off to do some Island fishing for some of those big yellowtail. We should be there by daybreak tomorrow. Weather is fantastic.

Schools of bluefin where a little harder to come by yesterday fortunately we still where able to put together a day. 85 yellowtail 6-15 pounds 6 dorado and 3 bluefin.

Oct. 16

I would call today a very disappointing day. We had The Rocks to ourselves today after a 3 day rest and I thought we were going to get um but it was not to be. 0 wahoo. 0. Not even a short biter. We trolled for 4 hours for nothing. I think what I'm trying to say here is we didn't catch any wahoo. We caught a few handfuls of yellowtail in the morning before the sharks took things over and after realizing there were no wahoo to be had we went offshore and looked for a kelp the rest of the day to see if we could get 1 that way or a bunch of Dorado's but that was not to be either. The fishing today stunk. Everything else today was lovely though. The weather today was really nice. The sun was out and the seas were flat. The food is always great out here and the scenery was lovely as well. We're working our way back towards home now to extend our fishing time for the trip. We're going to top off on those beautiful yellowtails tomorrow and spend our last couple of day

s hunting the bluefin tuna.

Excellent, excellent fishing on 70-170 lb tuna until about 1pm. Most all of the fish were released. We looked hard late in the afternoon, but a front came up and the weather got rough. One more day for us, wish us luck.

Sep. 18

Well that wasn't very fun. Lame is what I would call it. We fished the exact same as we did yesterday but only in reverse. We started where we finished yesterday and finished where we started and yes, it was lame. Not much fish and a whole lot of wind. You could of surfed some of the waves we saw yesterday. Needless to say we got out of there and headed up to where the weather is nice and there is a plethora of fish. We hope. It's the afternoon of the 19th and we're almost to the grounds. We'll check back tonight.

Memorial Day weekend started off the season with the first albacore being caught (since January) and a couple of bluefin also. That has all of us on the boat excited as well as most of you. Water conditions look spectacular for the season and we hope to have some water charts on the web site soon for you to view. We are also pleased to pass on the fact that the Guadalupe permits have been granted for the next two years. I know a lot of you are looking forward to fishing there. We have our schedule on line for you to look at. Prices are the same as last year and as of right now there is no fuel surcharge. So let's hope the cost stays down.
