Its 0430 all hands on deck!,

 

                                             Clint Cambell started our morning hooking and landing a 70 pound yellowfin tuna on a PL 68, a few other tuna were hooked and lost due to the arrival of the tax man but don't worry that only put a very small dent into our morning plan, we went into search mode but this time we had plan B going for us, yummy flyers on the troll and we started to put a few nice grade tuna aboard with Paul Hess putting a 115 pounder on deck! We ended up scratching up a nice day of tuna and wahoo.

Polaris Supreme Report 07-14 -2016 #2 Well our yellowtail bite we had going on this morning never ended. It lasted almost 12 hours. Constant action all day long! Surface iron fish was insane! Everything we threw at them pretty much got bit. What a day and what an amazing grade these fish where! Definitely the best yellowtail fishing we have had this year! The plan for tomorrow is to use this beautiful weather to our advantage to hopefully load up on some Tuna! On another note, we have open spots on all the trips listed below:a four-day August 2a five day August 6a five day August 11a three day August 25 One last thing guys. We take a lot of pictures during the duration of every trip and some of them don't make it into these reports.  Remember yesterday I was talking about plans? Well if you read my first report of the trip I talked about dragging our feet a day and waiting for the weather to get pristine out at the Rocks. That was the master plan and well, it worked out. Today we had great weather to go along with our great wahoo fishing. We arrived to the grounds at 7:30 and we were getting steady jig strikes on wahoo to go along with jigging and baiting until about 5:30 when things around here went to bed. I really wanted 4 more wahoo for the magic number but we tried and tried and we gave up. The fish went to bed so we will too. We're now sitting on anchor getting ready to enjoy a nice sunset before eating a nice dinner. Like I said , the weather couldn't be better. We'll have a great nights sleep. We're going to try this again in the morning and take it from there. It's the last day we ever get in August of 2014 and I'm glad we spent it here.

Good evening sports fans from the bridge of the Supreme. Today was yet another day off shore. We were busy all day long bendo on tuna mostly  jumping from bird school to bird school with quite a bit of fish on the machines too. Chapparo's group always brings it every year when it comes to putting in time at the rail, even when Chef Mike nearly puts us to sleep with his thick juicy cheese burgers and homemade fries for lunch. Nobody wimped and took a nap after that big plate of food, we were all right back at it keeping the rods bent. That really sums up the day, exceptional tuna fishing and a tasty half pound rosemary chicken dinner with rice, green beans and stuffing topped with whole gralic cloves followed by bannana foster for dessert. All and all great day, beautiful weather and we hope the weather mans forecast stays true for good weather for the next 2 days. Til tomorrow friends, good night to all, and to all a good night.

Hi friends. Today, a couple boats came out of their days looking like Kate Beckinsale and some boats came out looking like the love-child of Whoopi Goldberg and Gary Busey. I'd like to think we were somewhere in between. Anyhow, we caught a few handfuls of nice bluefin, a couple of nice yellowtail and one really nice dorado. It's just a matter of finding one that wants to stick with us and bite. Our weather is okay and we'll be giving it our all tomorrow. See ya.

We are not quite into the zone yet and we have had a few stops on the jigs. It looks like there is a new body of fish moving in. These Bluefin Tuna are in the 12 to 18 pound class. We will update you later. Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
