It's been biting pretty good and weather is great!

Capt Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute on Day 2 of a Friends of Rollo/Wicked Tuna Trip, today we found a nice grade of Yellowtail, we caught 24 from 12 to 25 pounds and we got some nice grade Bluefin Tuna this morning. July 30
 Arrive/Depart today. I feel that I've written this report before. We added a few things, like crew members, food, new passengers... We took a few things away, like crew members, old passengers with there fish... Anyways, We left again mid morning on Mr. Chaparro's 18th consecutive charter. A limited load of 20 passengers. We got our bait... We'll see... and are underway. We'll be fishing first thing tomorrow for tuna/yellowtail/dorado all day long and most likely working our way back down to Cedros Island. There looks to be some wind on the way so we like to be at Islands fishing when that happens. More comfty that way.

The weigh in happened. Just a 5 day progress report. Mark actually gained weight while Justin lost some. And Mark was the better eater. Unless he's secretly stuffing his face during his watch or something. Maybe he doesn't remember doing it.

Seems the Yellowtail are in spawn mode. We found multiple kelps with enough Yellows on them for limits for this boat and another, if they would have wanted to bite! IF! We managed to find an area with schools of Bluefin that were not very user friendly, lost one. One Yellowtail fell for a live sardine and that was our day. Some days luck is on your side, other days it's just not. But that's fishin for ya. 

Hooked 10, but they are mean and like to destroy your gear. Ended with 4 Bluefin all around #70 pounds for our 5 anglers.

Captain RJ Hudson checked in this evening with an update from the New Seaforth out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today on our afternoon trip we had 17 anglers catch 1 Halibut (up to 25 pounds), 1 Whitefish, 17 Rockfish, and 75 Vermilion Rockfish. Good evening, friends. Awesome day out here on the Supreme. No need to get too wordy about things today, we had a super day. Well, it was more like a super 5-hour drift on 40-60 lb. Bluefin and the rest of the day was spent enjoying beautiful weather. All in all, I consider today to be just terrific and I gave Drew's mustache a high five to show my approval. Y'all should too.

From 10:00 hours until 15:00 hours, we plunked away at that stellar grade of fish and when the dust settled, we had just shy of 100 of those beauties all while enjoying a bronze in flat calm weather. You can't beat that, you can't! It was some of the better action on BFT in recent years and we had some real flurries with at least 10 fish hanging at one time. It was very nice! Everybody had a shot at a few of those bruisers and we're pumped about or day.

We didn't really have time to take a lot of photos because we were so busy. Sorry, Riddler but know that the BFT look exactly like the ones from prior trips and they are chillin' super fresh in the RSW well. Sometimes, you've just got to make a drop.

Anyhow, we're going to do this for one more day and then see about heading to one of our favorite Yellowtail spots on Thursday. Things are really looking up right now and the Yellowtail grounds are no different. Really good fishing on some 'tails right now and we're looking at that with mouths agape. But, we still have some business to attend to with my favorite fish in the ocean, the Bluefin tuna.
