New Zealand Fishing Reports

was out today and it was drizzling now and then. caught a couple of small ones, around 600g each. nothing crazy but had a good time chillin by the river. used a simple bait rig with some pellets. could've been better but still loved it!

bright sunny day, the river was pretty quiet but I finally hooked into a nice 2.2kg rainbow! used a bright orange lure which really stood out. felt great to finally catch something after a few slow trips. can't wait to go again!

went out on 24th May, same kinda weather with a bit of rain. didn’t catch anything worth writing home about, just a few little guys. but I love being on the water, even when it’s slow. looking forward to better luck next time!

23rd May was a bit rough, patchy rain and gusty winds. we hit the bay but didn’t have much luck. only got one tiny snapper. still, it was nice being out there, even if the fish didn’t wanna play. guess that's fishing!

another cloudy day on the river, caught a couple but nothing worth bragging about, biggest was 2.5lbs. used a spinner but they weren’t biting too well. still, just being out here is worth it!

cloudy and chilly today, felt like an icebox. only caught a few small ones. nothing over 3lbs. used my new fly rod but it was tough with the weather. nice scenery tho, still had a good time!

wow today was chilly! only a few bites but caught a decent flathead. spent the day just chillin on the beach, soaking up the sun the best I could. new fishing buddy joined, hope he sticks around!
