The Pacifica out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA wrapped up a 2 day trip with 24 anglers.

Fish count:

43 Yellowfin Tuna

13 Skipjack Tuna

26 Bluefin Tuna

11 yellowfin 83 skipjack 6 yellowtail 1 dorado. We covered some ground and ended the day with a couple good stops. Offshore fishing is always high risk high reward

Another amazing day at the Coronado Islands. Our 53 anglers caught all the yellowtail they wanted on live bait and small yo-yo jigs.

Capt Ryan Bostain checked in from the San Diego the 3/4 day boat out Seaforth Sportfishing, we just finished up our second trip of the year. And boy was it a good one, we had Mexican limits of 110 Yellowtail for our 22 anglers. Most fish were caught on the yoyo jig, we did get some on the surface irio but you had to wotk hard for the surface bite. The Voyager is starting its winter time mexican coast fishing on the 10th of december!! We will be doing a 1.5 day down to colnett. The ticket price is $175 food, permit, fuel are extra. 16 passengers max load. Boat departs at 5:00pm on the 9th, and returns at 6:00am on the 11th. Contact Jodie at 858-220-1593

July 17
    Our morning started off hot.  We had some very good tailing for about 1 1/2 hours on the 16-22 pound grade.  We managed to get a few fish per rod in that amount of time frame before things went dead around 8:30.  It's OK, we were expecting that.  We stuck with the plan and looked for yellowfin after that and it wasn't long before we connected.  We had 2 good stops and one great stop on the yellowfin tunas and scattered small stops the rest of the day.  They were a bit on the small side but that's what's around here so we fished them.  After that we drove out of the zone to put ourselves in position for tomorrow and didn't catch much the rest of the day.

    We'll be tailing it again tomorrow looking for the bigguns down below first thing in the morning.  The weather this morning was great.  It got a little windy in the afternoon but it was OK.
                                

 

Hello everyone, Another outstanding day of Bluefin Tuna fishing. the grade is great 20-40 lbs. We caught our daily limits early spent the afternoon looking for giants. Unfortunately we were not able to put any on the boat. We will be in tomorrow and out for 6. NOTE: the couple pictured are from the same house hold. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Captain Ryan Bostian called in late last night with an update from The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in Mission Bay! We had 101 Yellowtail for 53 anglers. We also saw a couple nice spots of Bluefin Tuna. Right now we are not allowed to catch Bluefin Tuna in Mexico so we will continue to focus on Yellowtail for the meantime. Hopefully, the Bluefin issue will be resolved soon.
