On the recent Simpatico 6 day trip, anglers had access to fishing with Accurate rods and the new Valiant and Tern reels.

The outfits were perfect for the fish we encountered on the ridge. Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, Yellowtail, and Grouper.

The San Diego would like to thank everyone for a Great Year! We had very good fishing for a variety of species including: Yellowtail, Bluefin Tuna, Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna and more. We are hauling out tomorrow and will be doing maintenance for a couple weeks in the dry dock. We will then finish up at the dock at Seaforth. We will most likely run a few trips during Christmas Holiday and we anticipate being online next year for Winter Yellowtail fishing. Thanks again!!!!

We had a nice hit on the wahoo before we had to pull anchor and head for home. This was a great group of anglers and we had a great trip. The weather however is not nice. It is going to be a rough bumpy ride. And the forecast for tomorrow isn't looking much better. We had a delicious fresh Mahi Mahi in a fresh basil pesto sauce with fresh vegetables and potato patties. We should be at the dock Sunday morning at 7am. Come down and see us.

EXCELLENT ROCKCOD FISHING NOW!!! Our first trip with 24 anglers bagged 223 Rockfish and 17 Lingcod. APOLLO'S January/February Rock Cod trips are now online and ready to be booked! Hi friends. Long time - no talk. We've decided to update everybody on our annual maintenance season to begin our 2012 season. We hauled the boat out at Knight and Carver Yacht Center and immediately dove into our projects that should take us the next three weeks to complete. Painting the outside/inside of the boat, refinishing the rails, and repainting the deck are just a few of the cosmetic projects on our list along with numerous mechanical projects to ensure that the Polaris Supreme not only looks good but operates at tip-top performance. This time of the year is always bittersweet. It's nice to maintain the boat and get her looking good for the up-coming season but it's also terrible to see a boat like this. The boat is unrecognizable, she sits on blocks, dirt and paint dust everywhere, grease, mud, and tools lying everywhere and it's hard to believe that she'll look like a brand new boat in a few weeks. But somehow, it happens and we hope that everyone will appreciate the hours we put into keeping the vessel looking good and running smoothly for you.

Anyhow, we'll report back to you daily and every few days or so, we'll send some photos along so that you can see what Tommy, Drew, Jed, Mark, Tommie (new guy) and myself are up to on the boat. Hopefully, I'll be able to type after twelve hours of sanding and grinding. Take care everyone.

Our private charter had to display some good old fashioned patience today. In a typical 3/4 day trip we can expect to make about 3-5 moves thru ought the day looking for fish. Today however, we did not find what we were looking for until our 9th stop of the day. The rapidly changing conditions coupled with the short windows of biting fish have been driving yours truly crazy the past couple of days. Today's photo will show you why we have been putting ourselves thru such mental anguish. Todays final count for our 31 passengers is 11 yellowtail 20 calico bass 16 barracuda 7 rockfish. Our yellowtail today weighed 20-35 pounds and were biting the fly lined sardines the best.
