Waubay Fishing Report

overcast day at waubay but still decent fishing. got out for a few hours and caught some decent catfish. used chicken liver as bait, which always does the trick for me. not too windy, but kinda cold. still happy with the catch considering the weather. planning on going back next week!

ugh, what a chilly rainy day on the 16th... hard to get motivated to fish, but i went anyway. the fish were being real picky with that weather. caught a couple of small perch but not much else. wind was CRAZY, almost lost my hat! still glad i got out but waiting for better days.

another sunny day at waubay! headed out early and got a few nice walleye. used a crankbait that my grandpa gave me. the wind picked up a bit but it felt good. couldn’t ask for a better day, felt like summery vibes already even tho it’s just may. caught a total of 5, good eats!

fished waubay today with my buddy, sunny all day! caught a mix of bass and bluegills. the bass were hitting topwater lures real good, i think we got at least 6 bass between us. good times just chillin by the water and enjoying the sun. gonna do it again soon!

went back to waubay on the 10th, man it was hot! caught a couple of nice walleyes using a slip bobber rig with leeches. water temp was coming up and the fish were more active. felt like the day couldn’t get better with the perfect weather and being surrounded by nature. love it!
