May 22 was really rough, heavy rain all day. still, I managed to snag one decent trout, about 6lbs. so happy with that. tried a new lure and it worked wonders! soaked and cold but totally worth it. see ya next time!!
weather turned colder on May 19th, but I still gave it a shot. only caught a few dinks, but it was nice to be out there. used a spinner, but nothing bigger than a pound! I guess they were not hungry. better luck next time!
went out on May 14th, still raining but we were ready! caught 2 nice bass, around 3-4lbs each. all on a topwater popper, love the action! and man, the rain made it feel like we were in a fishing movie or something, haha.
May 13th was super wet but we got lucky. the fish were biting like crazy! landed a ton of catfish, biggest was around 8lbs. couldn't believe it! using chicken liver as bait, classic move. almost lost my flip flop in the mud, lol.
fished the niagara on the 7th, patchy rain but we pushed through. caught a couple decent pike, one was about 5lbs! had my new spinning rod with 15lb braid, it was awesome! felt like a champ reeling that beast in. good day overall.
