upper delaware river Fishing Report 2025

Jackpot! Wow what a great day. We had very, very good fishing on nice grade tuna. With the light load we have on this trip the anglers had lots of action. Our scores are as follows: Lon 274 lb., Greg 144, 110, and 152 pounders, Matt a 136 lb., John a 200 pounder, Mike 90, 125, and a 70 pounder, Tim 195 lbs., Chris 70 lbs., and Bill 70, 160, and a 304 pounder! Our weather is good. Lunch was a great seafood pasta and for dinner we went down home with some bar-b-que ribs, beans and corn on the cob. We were all so excited to have this nice big hit on the big fish.

Captain RJ Hudson checked in this evening with an update from the New Seaforth out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today on our afternoon trip we had 17 anglers catch 1 Halibut (up to 25 pounds), 1 Whitefish, 17 Rockfish, and 75 Vermilion Rockfish. Polaris Supreme Trip Update 12-05-2018

Tuna fishing this morning was excellent. We took off around 10 o'clock and did a tour of the South end of the island sightseeing. Yep that's right decided to go sightseeing. The guys and gals had a great morning and they've had several great days and of course we have tomorrow to fish for a full day. So we decided to show them some of the sites! That of course was easy and a great success. We anchored backup for the afternoon and scratched a few more fish before dark. Tomorrow will be our last day here at the island. Hoping for a big morning and then maybe go do some yellowtail fishing.

Hands down the best fishing the AZTEC has ever seen!! Our standouts were a 321lb, 298lb, & 292lb. We also had 48 more Bluefin from 50-120lbs and 407 Yellowfin!!

What an absolutely, fantastic, unbelievable day. We had more marlin than you can imagine. We hooked and are released over 220.
The wahoo fishing was also fantastic. The group had a blast pulling in "crocodile" size wahoo. And we topped off the day with even bigger dorado than yesterday. The weather is good and we just had an awesome day on all three, wahoo, dorado and marlin.

The morning started our ok. We scratched yellows for about 4 hours and kelps patties. Little sign of dorado. As the day progressed it got tougher with few patties. Overall it was a slow day.

Our weather is still great. Tomorrow we our on our way to do some Island fishing. Wish us luck.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-23 to 25-2019 We arrive this morning from our three day trip. We left last Sunday with very high expectations. Only to get them crushed over the next three days. There had been a week straight of fantastic yellowfin tuna and bluefin tuna fishing. It all came tumbling down on Sunday. We definitely hit things on the backside at the very bottom of the bell curve. We managed to scratch up a few nice tuna after getting an early start out on Sunday but all the big hits came that morning. Monday we were able to find one school of good grade yellowfin tuna that stayed with us a while that gave us hopes for the rest of the day being good fishing. It didn't turn out that way though we only picked up another handful of fish throughout of long day of searching. Tuesday we had plenty of action but it was mostly on skipjack in the morning with a mix of smaller grade yellowfin tuna. We hammered out the day until dark with not much luck. As we all know It makes a huge difference on timing when you get out to the fishing grounds we just missed it by a few days. We had a great group of anglers that stuck with us Trying hard all throughout the three days. Nov. 14

                We had very good wahoo fishing today. We caught a lot of wahoo.  You don't see it much better then what we had today.  At least for a few hour window there.  We got our scratch on early, then we got our catch on mid to early afternoon, and then we went back to scratching till dark.  It was good.  I think I may of seen it better, I probably have in 15 years but this was pretty darn close to as good as I've seen, again, at least for that few hour window mid morning. 

 

                As much as myself and the rest of everyone on board would love to stay here another day, the wind is coming.  We'd have good weather tomorrow but we'd have to seriously pay for it on the ride home if we stayed.  So we're headed across to the Cedros area and we're expecting good weather during the ride across.  Who knows, maybe we'll find a kelp for some dorado and more wahoo tomorrow morning.  If not, we should be fishing for yellows by or after lunch tomorrow.
