Great day heading up! Today we were able to find some Yellowtail to pull on. Good fish around, however it seemed that the water was a little too cold for them to bite good. Will be prospecting off shore tomorrow. We have a 1.5 day departing this Friday that still has openings. Perfect weekend trip to not miss work!

Hello Everyone, We are rolling down today, mainly a rigging day. We are trying to get all of our gear ready for the rest of the trip. From wire leaders to dropper loop rigs we are getting it all set up for the 7 days to come. Great food, great weather, great company. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Captain Jodie Morgan called in from The Apollo. We just returned from a 2.5 day trip and we had limits of Yellowtail and 52 Bluefin Tuna (25 to 65 pounds). If you are interested in jumping on the Apollo call the chartermaster Allan 714-797-9030 to get in on a Two Day trip July 17th and 18th.

You know today I was thinking what a great job I have! Of course the weather is flat calm, that helps. No we didn't kick the heck out of a bunch of fish, but I did get to fish all day and was not stuck in traffic once. We did land 18 school Tuna and 5 nice yellowtail, on kelp's, Dolphin, blind jig strikes and other assorted methods. We saw close to a hundred pie plate size baby turtles, along with fin-back whales, blue whales, and big albatross birds.The day was finished with good news from our buddy boat who had some incredible yellowtail fishing in which we will be waking up to bright and early tomorrow morning! Today we were able to try our hand at Yellowtail. Fishing was far from easy.The Yellows ranged in size with some waves of fish being 8-12 lbs and other groups coming through in the 20 to 30 lb range. We did manage to set most of the smaller ones free and tag the bigger ones. Exciting day, but had to work for the larger fish. Will report tomorrow, Team Supreme

Captain Ryan Bostian called in tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We have been fishing offshore. Today we had 39 Yellowfin Tuna and 1 Bluefin Tuna. Our last trip we had 52 Yellowfin Tuna. Most the fish are 15 to 25 pound range. We are starting to see some bigger fish too. Please be sure to have a light rod (20#) and a heavier rod. Be ready to catch fish between 15 and 100 pounds.

 Well today went as expected.  We woke up on the anchor after a lovely nights sleep and shortly after daylight we started scratching tuna.  It didn't take long to meet our quota.  Some already had it and were dropper looping for yellows and getting a few.  Anyways a little after 7 we pulled anchor and trolled around for wahoo.  One  more than half the boat caught a wahoo by lunch time and we took off for Alijos Rocks.  We traveled the rest of the day while we looked for something floating with dorado under it but we never found anything as expected.

 So like I said, we'll be at the stones in the morning.  We're going to try for some more wahoo before starting north to finish off our trip.  You never really can have enough wahoo.  There is 2 or 3 passengers left on board who have not caught a wahoo so we're going to make sure they get one before anyone else tomorrow.  We call it the troll of shame and Glenn, if you're reading at home, I always think of you when we do this.
