Sauk Lake Fishing Report

another light rain day at sauk, perfect for chilling on the boat. didn’t catch much today. a few rock bass but nothing to brag about. just enjoyed the peace and quiet, though. sometimes it’s nice just to hang out on the water, y’know?

finally some light rain after that downpour! hit the lake around 8 and it felt refreshing. had a couple bites but nothing big. tossed a few releaseable crappies back, they were fun to catch! good chill day overall. hoping for better luck next time.

rain was really coming down today, it felt like a monsoon. but I still hit up sauk lake. caught 2 small bass on a jiggly jig, not much else. had to call it early tho, the wind was a killer. guess I’ll wait for sunnier days.

what a wet day on the lake! got poured on while I was out there but the fish didn’t care. I caught a nice 6 lb catfish, biggest one I’ve ever seen! my rain gear saved me, but I was soaked by the time I got back. totally worth it though! rain or shine, I’m out here.

decided to brave the rain today on sauk. it was chilly and windy but I managed to find shelter under some trees. ended up landing a couple of small perch with my ultralight rod. not much but hey, fishing is fishing, right? lol.
