Chain of Lakes Fishing Report

fished today despite the patches of rain, was kinda a gamble. water was cool but I got lucky with a few nice bluegills. used a simple nightcrawler setup and it worked like a charm. caught my limit (15) and had a great time just chillin by the shore. always nice to unwind with nature!

man, today was super cold for mid-May! hit up the lakes in the morning and nearly froze. I barely caught a thing, maybe a few tiny perch. I’ll admit, I kinda gave up after a while. wind was howling, and I just couldn’t feel my hands holding the rod! but it was nice being outdoors, I guess.

another rainy day but I went out anyway, figured there’d be less peeps. caught a few bass but they were all smaller than expected. I was using a flashy spinnerbait but they didn’t seem too interested. the wind was crazy strong too, made it tough to cast but hey, a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work right?

went out again today, perfect weather but got a little rain towards the end. still, managed to snag a couple nice crappies! using my new spinning reel setup and it worked like a charm. nothing like that first bite, ya know? overall, great time with friends laughing and fishing. can’t wait for the next trip!

wow, what a beautiful day for fishing! we hit up the Chain of Lakes and the sun was shining all day. I caught a solid 5lb largemouth on a topwater frog! it was pure chaos as it jumped outta the water. felt like a pro! the wind was chill too, just the right amount. had a blast today, def goin back soon.
