lower colorado river Fishing Report 2025

Good times were had by all on the Prevost private charter. Light line live bait rigs and small colt snipers connected with 57 yellowfin tuna and 2 bluefin tuna.

One stop late in the day accounted for all of our tuna. We ended up with 68 yellowfin 6 bluefin 29 yellowtail 7 bonito.

Another one bites the dust ! 12 fish over 100 pounds 2 fish over 200 pounds and 23 school sized bluefin. @pennreels are what we use and trust, they have taken a huge part in our success when it comes to these fish. Thank you !!!!

Captain Ryan Bostian called in to relay a report from Captain Cameron. We have 19 anglers today aboard the San Diego and as of about 10 am we have 20 Yellowtail. Tomorrow and Monday are looking good. We are taking Tuesday off as it appears that it will be blowing pretty good.

Captain Mike Pritchard called in this morning from the Tribute. We are fishing out West today. We are catching Yellowfin Tuna and Bluefin Tuna. We have 90 mixed fish on the boat at 8:30 AM. We also have a good score on the Yellowtail. They are biting the 30 pound pretty job. We got a few on the Jig. We do have spots open on Sunday's trip. Hello everyone, Today was our last day of fishing for our annual A.H.I 8 day trip. We fished the beach hoping that some yellowtail would be waiting for us. Although our time was limited we managed to capture some nice grade fish until we had to head for San Diego. The trip was a great success and now we are in for a long ride home. Even though the fishing was over, smiles were all around and we could not have asked for more. Great fishing, good company and amazing weather, this trip turned out to be one for the books. Tommy Rothery tied up his Polaris Supreme after the Eric Rogger five-day charter. Rothery weighed the fish while Bill Roecker interviewed chartermaster Rogger near the scales. "Tommy burned a lot of fuel looking around," said Eric. "We got some real quality yellowtail." A sardine on the dropper loop enticed the first-place fish for Gil Suizo of Chatsworth, who reeled it in after a ten-minute scrap. "He fought hard," said Gil. "I sweat a bit bringing him in; there were lots of seals around." Gil said he used a ringed 4/0 super Mutu hook, 50-pound P-Line, an Avet SX-2 reel and a Calstar 660 rod. Dan Hendrickson of Chatsworth took second place for a 34-pounder, and Phillip Bruce of Ramona got a 32.2-pound yellowtail that was good for third place.
