April 18, 2025 lower niagara river Fishing Report

Captain Mike Pritchard called in this evening with an update. We had very good fishing for rockfish. Pretty much every bait that held the bottom produce a nice fish. We had very good fishing for rockfish. We also had a decent shot at Lingcod and Whitefish. In the afternoon the wind picked up a little bit. We will be fishing every weekend so please call Seaforth or book online. We also have a trip leaving on Tuesday night too!

April 17, 2025 lower niagara river Fishing Report

Good afternoon Sports fans from the bridge of the Polaris Supreme. So this will be our last travel day report. Starting tomorrow, it'll be test time for the OTR crew, time to let them apply what they've learned in all of our seminars. This morning after breakfast, we gave our final seminar. Tuned the guys up on stand-up fishing, both harness style and using the rail. We also talked about various different styles of kite rigs. There isn't much more we can say, now it's time for hands on and see who payed attention in class.  The rest of the day is just going to be spent fine tuning all of the gear, tightening up any loose ends and getting a good night sleep because tomorrow is game time! April 15, 2025 lower niagara river Fishing Report

Iven moving on up! We had a great a day of fishing today. Our fishing started today at noon and we had non stop action all day long. We landed some nice Yellowfin tuna between 40-80 lbs. However with great tuna action came great shark action. Our resilient passengers were hooking these tuna very well, but the lurking Great White Sharks were hot on their tails. Eating a large majority of our nicer tuna hooked. Pictured here is Ivan with his prized tuna that he was able to hustle in through the sharks! Very different than last years fish ( other fish pictured). Great improvement!

April 14, 2025 lower niagara river Fishing Report

Capt Ryan called in from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing called in to let us know they ran their first trip of the year today and what a day it was. We ended they trip with 125 Yellowtail for 38 anglers, very good fishing and the water temperature was 63 degrees. We caught fish on everything we tried from yoyo jigs, surface irons and dropper loops, with the dropper loops proving to be the most effective. We had some hard core anglers who stuck with the surface iron all day and did very well especially late in the day. The are two grades of fish down there, some are 5 to 12 pounds and the other were from 18 to 30 pounders. Today 50 of our fish were of the 5 to 12 pound range, 75 of the nicer grade. Very good fishing and the fishing is not easy we do a lot of driving around and looking, but when you get on the right school you can get a bunch really quick. Hi Anglers,

The Polaris Supreme is out on a 1 1/2 day trip. ( 9/27) I spoke with Drew at 2:30 and he had just had a kelp for limits of yellowfin and dorado and is now looking for bluefin. Weather is great and he will be posting an end of the day report on the web-site.

Today we mainly fished for yellowtail. Good scratching at 15-20 LB Yellowtail. Nice to have a mixed bag to Finnish up with!

April 11, 2025 lower niagara river Fishing Report

Ryan Bostian checked in with a report from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. Today we had 15 anglers catch 9 Bluefin Tuna (60-80 lbs) 1 Yellowfin Tuna (25 lbs). Capt Cameron and the boys had a fine day.
