what a beautiful day on the river! sun was out finally. used a dry fly and was surprised at how active the fish were. landed a couple over 20 inches! just the best day, can’t wait to tell everyone about my catch. cheers to fishing adventures!
me and the crew hit the Deschutes today, cloudy but no rain! finally! we had great success with hopper patterns. caught a bunch of small trout, nothing huge but they were feisty! had a blast just being out in nature, that’s what it’s all about.
fished today, still a bit wet from the rain earlier in the week. picked up a few fish on midges. they were lurking near the rocks, had to be sneaky! i love that thrill of a catch. weather was a bit breezy but felt good to be out!
another rainy day fishing! tried the same spot as last time but no luck at first. then switched to a wooly bugger and bam! got a nice 18-inch brown! it was a struggle with the wind but totally worth it. never underestimate a good fly!
man, what a downpour we had while fishing! i was soaked but i stayed out there. used some streamers and finally landed a couple of bigger trout. the rain made em bite like crazy! just wish i’d brought my extra rain gear. good day overall!
