Deschutes River Fishing Report

cloudy day, not the best fishing tbh. managed to catch 2 rainbows, both around 15 inches. used a small spinners, but they seemed pretty cautious. a bit of wind made it difficult too. i guess that’s fishing! at least the views were great!

was kinda drizzly today at deschutes. not too much happening, just caught one small brown and lost another one. i tried different lures and flies, but they weren’t too interested. river was nice and calm though. could use a few warm days to get them going!

fished in the overcast today, it was kinda cozy after that sunny spell. caught one little guy, around 14 inches, on a woolly bugger. not much action tho. i really thought they’d be hungry with the clouds. guess it happens sometimes, still love being out there!

another sunny day on the river! the fish were biting but had to work for them. caught 3 smaller ones but missed a couple nice hits. pretty chill vibe, water was clearer today. using a streamer, but coulda used a little more action. still a good time!

hit deschutes again today, super sunny but a bit chilly. managed to reel in a fat 17 incher! using a nymph rig seems to be the way to go, they just can’t resist. saw a few other anglers and they were catching too. great day by the water!
