black river ny Fishing Report 2025

Hello everyone, Today was our last day of fishing for our annual A.H.I 8 day trip. We fished the beach hoping that some yellowtail would be waiting for us. Although our time was limited we managed to capture some nice grade fish until we had to head for San Diego. The trip was a great success and now we are in for a long ride home. Even though the fishing was over, smiles were all around and we could not have asked for more. Great fishing, good company and amazing weather, this trip turned out to be one for the books. Hello Supreme fans, Today we had a great day of fishing on quality Wahoo and some nice Yellowtail mixed in. The yellows were a great surprise, but didn't come without many casualties. The yellows were big and strong, they had a mission for the rocks from where they came. Rocking many individuals. If they however were lucky enough to make past the rocks the sharks were waiting eagerly above to get their chance at our prized yellowtail. Needless to say the fish that made it through the gantlet were big and highly celebrated. All and all a well rounded and exciting day. Large Wahoo and Yellows were there for the taking. It was very exciting trying to get the targeted fish on the boat through all the obstacles the sea had to throw at us! Cannot wait for tomorrow! tight lines, Team Supreme

Fished for a couple of hours this morning with no signs of larger grade tuna so we left and will be fishing in a different spot tomorrow. Had a Oriental noodle salad this afternoon that was out of this world. Really good. Our weather continues to be in the beautiful category and we are all enjoying that. Wish us luck for some of those bigger fish. We'll check in tomorrow.

Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "We are wrapping up our 2 Day Western Outdoor News trip. We had absolutely fabulous fishing. We ended up with limits of Yellowtail, 151 Yellowfin tuna, 7 Bluefin tuna, a dozen Dorado and some Skipjack. The fishing was good the wether was flat and calm.

"It's a good time to get on a boat. We are departing tomorrow on a 3.5 Day trip that is sold out. There is space available on other trips give Seaforth Sportfishing a call at 619-224-3383."

Fishing was excellent today. Most of the tuna were 70-125 lbs. they started biting in the gray and continued just until dark. We released all of them except Al kept a 197 lb. tuna and Craig kept one that was 187 lbs. We also had a few wahoo mixed in. Weather is gorgeous. We are going to give it a try again tomorrow. Lunch was Chili Colorado, hors d'oeuvres were shrimp, crab claws and sashimi. Dinner was tuna Baja (that's a tuna fillet split and stuffed with avocado and crab meat with a sweet teriyaki ginger sauce to top it off).

Fishing yesterday was absolutely fantastic. The grade of albacore that we were catching was beautiful with half being 30-40 lbs. and the other half averaging 22 lbs. Weather yesterday and today is excellent. This morning we are already into albacore, blue fin and yellow fin. Looks like a another great day on the water. From 8:00 am till 4:00 pm we were either stopped on bluefin or driving towards jumping bluefin. When we pumped out the RSW we had 17 bluefin and 2 yellowtail. Flylined sardines on 25-40 lb with a size 2-2/0 bait hook was the top producer.

The Pacifica out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA wrapped up a 2 day trip with 24 anglers.
