Polaris Supreme Trip Report 10-21-2019 Good start on the trip today. Good weather all day long and scratched away at the tuna and had a good day on the Wahoo. We didn't get any pictures of the tuna but here's a few Wahoo pictures for the day. The guys are all doing well and having a great time. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

We had an ok day here at Guadalupe. Caught some yellowtail with 3 hitting around 30lbs. We also got some excellent grade yellowfin tuna 55-60 pounders. Dinner was a scrumptious Cornish game hen with a rosemary glaze. Martin who works in the office at the landing supplied Pedro with bags full of fresh herbs and peppers from his garden. Thanks Martin! We've had great weather here and certainly enjoyed fishing the island. We will fish tomorrow until about 9am and then head for home.
We should be at the dock Thursday morning at 8:30am. Two spots open on the Sept. 8 if you can get away. Boss won't let you go? Heck, bring him with you.

The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA finished the day with176 Yellowfin Tuna, 1 Yellowtail & 1 Skipjack.

Boots or waterproof shoes are highly recommended.

Captain Steve Gawitt just called in with an update from Aztec with an offshore update from San Diego. This morning on our first drift put 24 Bluefin Tuna, 2 Yellowfin Tuna, and 1 Yellowtail on the deck. We are seeing bigger Bluefin Tuna and we have had a fair amount of missed fish.

The Aztec is running Overnight trips departing from Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. You can call (619) 224-3383 to get in on the action.

Spent most of day searching for yellowtail in extremely clean water and very strong current. Our search for gamefish came up empty but our 50 passengers enjoyed some fine shallow water bottom fishing. We ended up with 150 Whitefish, 50 Rockfish, 30 Sculpin, 10 Sheephead, and 10 Bonito. Today we fished the Coronado Islands along with a couple of 1 day boats and the usual 3/4 day fleet. Conditions in the morning were backwards and needless to say the fishing was slow. Thru ought the day the conditions improved and when it was all said and done we had 10 yellowtail on the deck. We fish the Coronado Islands everyday. Come join us !

Today we had about 7-10 wahoo and several tuna. Four nice ones around 170 lbs., and some smaller ones (many released) 50-60 lbs. We lost 4 nice ones, 2 thought to be over 200 lbs. The guys are pretty tired putting in 36 hours of fishing time. Most only had 3-4 hours of sleep.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in late last night with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. We have been fishing offshore the last four trips. Four days ago we had 44 Yellowfin Tuna Then we had 27 Yellowfin Tuna Yesterday we had 7 Yellowfin Tuna Then today we had 44 Yellowfin Tuna Decent fishing. There is a lot of fish around. What is working 20 pound mono with 20 fluro. We also recommend having a a 30 or 40 pound outfit ready to go also. We are using size one or two live bait hooks, small poppers and flat fall jigs are also working. We are scheduled fishing Offshore tomorrow and Wednesday. Then we have 3 charters in a row but will be back OPEN PARTY .
