Good evening everyone, we're back!!!!  After 2 months of grueling boat work we are back on the water and couldn't be happier.  What's new with the crew?  Not much with most of the guys.  Jed got his captains license.  That's big news.  And I had a beautiful baby daughter in April.  That's big news too.  Mark's the same enjoyable goofball, Gunny's the same fish hunting fellow.  Schoolers still dishing out tasty meals and Gringo is back helping him out.  We also have some new crew members joining the supreme team this year.

We departed this evening on a 1 1/2 day trip.  We are pleased with  the bait we got because we lucked out and got a tank of sardine to go with a couple tanks of usable anchovy if need be.  Hopefully it will be because we run out of sardine with all the fish we catch.  The reports are fishy.  There's yellowfin and bluefin and yellowtail to catch if you find the right schools that want to bite and those are the schools we'll be looking for all day long tomorrow.  Weather reports are calling for some wind tomorrow but they downsized there forecast from this morning so hopefully it won't be too bad.  Time will tell.

Right now we're wrapping up our prime rib dinner and will be going to bed soon so we're all rested up for our big day tomorrow.  Sweet dreams and goodnight.


 

Yellowtail fishing fell on its face today we had about 1 around. But we managed to keep busy have fun and catch some killer table fair. Thats right Rock Cod. You should see the rock cod fishing we had, it was pretty darn good. We where lucky the yellowtail and the Rock cod grounds are one in the same and we could do both while waiting for the yellows to bite. The lings and reds made up most of our catch today. All of us are looking forward to dinner tonight, it is going to be fresh tuna we caught a few days ago. We will be back in the tuna grounds tomorrow to finish off our trip. Tommy and Crew.

Had another great day of grinding away at Yellowtail and Wahoo. The Wahoo are still around, they are now on live bait better than the trolling jigs and casting lures. There was also a nice shot on quality Yellowtail in the dark, so you may be going to bed late or waking up early if you are on an upcoming trip! Working up tomorrow, Team Supreme

So just how are these Blue fin being caught.

40 bluefin 14 yellowfin. Steady stop and go action. Small jigs like the Shimano colt sniper and flat fall or a rubber banded sinker rig both fished on 40-60lb line were top producers.

We are planning on running some specialty trips sponsored by Berkley and Shimano These trips will be out of Santa Barbara, targeting White Seabass and/or shallow water Rockfish at the Channel Islands. Hello everyone, The past couple days have been tough out here. We managed to land some nice school sized tuna yesterday but not nearly the numbers we were looking for. Today we tagged some Grouper and a nice Dorado. However the highlight was defiantly the groups of Striped Marlin we found in the afternoon. They were high and dry with Frigate birds putting on quite a show above them. Not our targeted species on these trips but defiantly a nice reason to stop the boat and fight a couple. The areal show is always quite impressive. With the marlin in our wake we now have our sights set on trophy tuna tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme
