sunny and warm finally! went out early and had a blast catching some nice fish! using a small popper and they were nailing it! busier than usual but it felt great having to fight that sun.
patchy rain today but we did alright! fished from the bank with my dad. landed a few decent brook trout using spinners. still pretty chilly but a nice cozy time despite the weather.
another overcast day on upper deschutes. caught a couple small rainbows, nothing too big but still fun. using my fly rod with some dry flies, they weren’t shy at all. wind really picked up later tho!
today was cloudy and cool. didn’t expect much, but wow! pulled in a 20 inch cutthroat! used an olive nymph and it did the trick. had to fight the wind a little bit but worth every minute!
braved the rain today with my buddy. upper deschutes was kinda muddy but we still managed to catch a couple of decent trout. used salmon eggs and they were hungry even in the rain! soaked but happy.
