South Fork Boise River Fishing Report

hit the river again with some friends, partly cloudy and nice temp. caught my first carp, didn’t expect that! used some corn on a hook, worked like magic! got a bit windy but we had a blast, laughing and joking on the banks. can’t wait to go back!

finally a sunny day! got to the river early and caught a few little cutthroats, around 10-12 inches. used a dry fly, they were rising. the wind was chill but not too much, managed to stay pretty comfy. had fun casting and just enjoying the view, perfect day!

man, the rain came outta nowhere! i got soaked but didn’t catch anything. tried my best with a few different lures but nah, no bites at all. went home early, but hey at least i had a good soup waiting for me. better luck next time, i guess!

ughh the weather was hot today, overcast but still felt like summer. caught 3 nice browns, biggest one was around 18 inches! used a nymph, pretty effective. the water was pretty high, but manageable. we had a picnic lunch by the river and it really made the day even better!

had a decent day fishing. partly cloudy skies, just a bit chilly in the morning. we caught a couple 12 inch brookies, nothing crazy but they were fun to reel in. used my new spinning rod, think it’s gonna be my go-to from now on. spent a couple hours just chillin by the river, love it!
