had a solid day at the river. partly cloudy made it nice and cool. caught a bunch of bluegills and one big crappie. used a light jig, couldn’t believe the action! perfect day to be out!

finally a nice day out! got some patchy rain but it was warm. caught a total of 5 fish including a 7lb bass! used a topwater frog and it was explosive. what a blast, can’t get enough of roanoke river!

fished yesterday in overcast weather. slow day, only caught a small perch. thinking the temp drop got em off. used a worm on a bobber. mostly just enjoyed the peace and quiet tho!

went out today just for a couple hours. it was drizzlin but I got one decent largemouth, like 5 lbs. not too many bites tho, maybe the weather? used a spinnerbait, think it’s time for new lures haha.

what a day! we braved the heavy rain today and it paid off. caught a few nice stripers, biggest was around 6 lbs! used a crankbait that worked wonders. the wind was tough but we made it work. just love that river!
