Poudre River Fishing Report

wow today was intense! heavy rain hit us while we were out, it got real messy. still, I caught a nice 16 inch brown just before the downpour hit. my buddy lost a good one too, just slipped away. used a leech pattern that was kinda soaked but seemed to work. incredible conditions, just wild out there. gotta check the weather next time!

super sunny again, got out early and the fish were biting! I bagged three decent-sized trout, all around 15 inches. used my trusty jigs with bright colors, the fishes couldn’t resist! the river was a bit crowded but I found a good spot downstream. love these fishing days, just me, the river, and some sunshine.

sunny day on the river! it was about time! went for a few hours and caught a bunch of little brookies. nothing over 10 inches, but they were fun to catch on light tackle. used a small chatter bait and tbh, they went for it. the views were amazing too, can't beat fishing in the sunshine. brought my dog! best day ever!

had an awesome day out on the poudre! partly cloudy skies made for a perfect day, caught four decent browns. I was using a dry fly, caddis pattern, and they kept rising. felt just right! the wind was chillier than expected but overall, a very enjoyable time by the river. finally some good catches! yay!

another wet day on the river, but I still managed to get a couple bites! caught two more rainbows, both around 12 inches. used a size 16 nymph and it seemed to do the trick. water’s cooling down too much tho, felt icy! still a good time, me and my buddy laughed through the rain. gotta love spring fishing!
