July 20
    We had another slow day today darn it.  It's crazy how fast things change out here.  One day you're gettinum and the next day you're not.  We tried for a few yellows this morning and caught to less than that.  It wasn't long before we were out in the deeps hunting tuna.  We saw very little.  We covered alot of ground today for a few over 20 on the tuna.  They were mostly jig strikes spread out throughout the day.

    The weather out here is fantastic and we're enjoying our ride up.  I can smell the filet's on the grill now Oscar style.  Thanks again Archie, the group was great.  We'll be in tomorrow and yes, departing on another 5 day.
                            

 

Polaris Supreme Update 11-02-2012

 

 

Today we traveled up past the Ridge and Alijos Rocks. The Guys have plenty of wahoo so we decided to leave any wahoo at the Rocks for one of the other boats in our code group who is going to be their later in the day. We wish them good luck. I have been very reluctant to bring it up but our weather has been and is fantastic so far and is forecast to be so for the next few days. And on another good note our speed going up the line has been great and we will easily make our ETA of 8:00 hrs. on Sunday morning. We will see all you Lady's who have chosen to make the 4 hour round trip to see your husbands their. The crew finished scrubbing the last major section of the boat and only have a little fine tuning for our next group The OTR Gang ( Ocean Tackle Research ). George has given me the ok to use up a couple of hours of our spare time to go looking for flying fish for kite bait next trip, wish us luck and thanks in advance George. The gang has just been kicking it. Charlie is trolling and has caught 1 dorado, Jer Bear is more like sleepy bear, George is making lists for his next trip. I don't think it has any thing to do with fishing because it had sluice box on it. Gunner has watched Jack Ass 3 Way too many times. Craig has been doing computer work and hanging with JC and Charlie on the aft deck. Brad, Bernie, Scott, and Bill are like ground hogs you just don't know how long they are going to be up for meals before they go back down napping. I went through over 1,000 pictures and came up with about 250 that I will put up on the web sight and our face book page on Sunday morning. I will warn you now that it's mostly guys cocktails cigars and sun sets. I can't believe we caught so many wahoo and I think their is only 2 wahoo pic's.

Well that's about it Eating very good still 4 meals a day. Sometimes we even have 10 zies and 2 zies. ( Ya Ya Richie I know that as well as other words I made up are spelt rong.) Getting caught up on the zzzzzz's. Thanks for tuning in Team Supreme.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-08-2016 Good evening Supreme fans. We departed nice and early this morning on Brad Bogart's 6th Annual 2 day Tuna Charter. The crew worked double time to get the boat untied sooner than normal to get Brad and company out on the water and fishing ASAP and we did. We left the dock with a fairly set game plan and within a couple hours that all totally changed. Just shows you how things can change at the drop of a hat. On our way out to our intended destination, we happened to stumble upon a school of a really nice grade of yellowfin tuna that wanted to chew good. It was change of pace fishing and catching this 30 lb. grade of tuna that we haven't seen in some time. It's a bonus when you get to change your plans for the better. We spent the rest of the afternoon on these very manageable schools until it was dinner time. Tomorrow should fair out the same way with hopes of this fish sticking around and making a day of it. The guys went to bed after a nice prime rib dinner and a few less fish tags on their belts ready to get back at it in the morning. Check in tomorrow to see how we ended up. I can't close this report out without giving a huge thank you to Vernon "Paddy" Burke and his Simpitico crew for an epic 5 day trip. These guys hung in there with 5 days of trophy style bluefin fishing and we know they are taking home some sore arms and backs to the great state of Texas. They say everything is bigger in Texas, well not your bluefin tuna boys! We're already looking forward to seeing them back next year for another week out on the water. Nov. 17th

                Well the plan worked.  We stayed tucked behind Cedros Island till 1:30 this morning.  That gave things above time to settle down.  The wind backed off at 10:00 last night and it was a surprisingly nice ride up this morning.  It was a little herky jerky but much better than we thought it would be.  We went full cruise and barely got the windows wet.  Due to the nice ride, we had some time to fish this morning and we found some action.  We hit up this little pinnacle and it had some 14-18 pound yellows hanging out.  We made a few drifts and an anchor job and managed to scratch up more then 2 per rod.  We all needed a little action.  We'll be a little late getting in tomorrow but it's worth it.  We deserved some action after being stuck in the lee yesterday due to the weather.

 

                And that's it.  That's the trip and that's the 2015 season for us.  It's time to hang with the family and be a dad and a husband.  Time for the rest of the crew to do what they do.  Until February that is.  Then we leave on a long one.  It's also time for me to thank all our customers.  Thanks for the year, and thanks for the years.  It's always fun and it's always different.  This year will have a special place in the old memory bank just like all the other years and it's because of most of you reading these posts.  And I just want you to know, that we all appreciate what you do for us, and mostly it's as easy as coming out fishing with us.  THANK YOU!!!!!!

                                                                                               

Today on the San Diego, 28 passengers got their Mexican limits of Yellowtail, hooked some Dorado.

Normal turn around today. Nothing crazy happened. It was hot hot hot. The bluefin were bigger then we thought. The small one went 139.something and the biggest one went 146. Pigs. Or cows rather. We'd like to do the same this trip. We left on the annual Robin Gledhill Blue White private charter with captain Tommy Rothery at the helm. After getting bait and some lunch it was nap time for most. Me included. It was nice With a shower and a cup of coffee right after makes me feel like a million bucks. We did the seminar and had a lovely prime rib dinner. I skipped it and cooked up some of the escolar passenger John caught last trip and was too scared to keep. They're not the prettiest fish and after hearing rumors of what happens when you eat too much of it in one sitting he said no way was he keeping it. So i tried it tonight. I had it for dinner. Tommy won't let me say what happens on here so I'll just say that it's a very oily fish and you should be able to figure it out. I'll let you know tomorrow John. The weather out here is smooth and we should experience some more in the near future.

Good afternoon everyone, We just cleared the point and are headed south on our annual Costello 6 day trip. We have high hopes for the next 6 days. We are really looking forward to having 6 days to be able to spread out and cover some area. We have many options and all of em sound promising! However right now we are kicking back enjoying the afternoon and looking forward to chef mikes delicious prime rib!
