hit the lake on the 24th. wow, the rain was serious! caught a few catfish, and lost a HUGE one! pretty upset about it but i’ll be back out there. used some cut bait and just layed back waiting for the strike.
on the 22nd it was raining a lot but didn’t stop me! caught a handful of crappies. they were feisty today. used a jigging spoon, maybe not the best choice in the rain but hey, it worked! love those rainy days.
went out on May 11, cloudy and humid, but the fish were biting! landed a solid 4lb bass on a wacky rigged worm. kept losing some big ones tho. oh wells, at least the sun came out for a bit, nice change!
was at the lake on the 10th, rain kept coming and going. didn't expect much but surprisingly got 3 decent sized largemouths. again the ol’ trusty spinnerbait did the trick! feels good to beat the weather!
took my buddy out on May 1st for some fishing, had to dodge the raindrops. we ended up with some nice bluegills and a couple of catfish. used worms and some lures, nothing huge but had a blast, just chillin by the water.
