Sunday, September 30th, 2012 -- Departure report.

Hi friends. We departed at 1800 hours on yet another 1.5 -day trip. After last trips bait, I was deathly concerned about what type of load we were going to get and to all of our surprise, we received a healthy and plentiful load of bait. We'll see how it fares throughout the night into tomorrow but for now, I'm pleased with those little critters. Hopefully, we put them to good use tomorrow.

For tomorrow, we'll be hitting the local grounds to try our hand a little closer to home. I'm excited about the prospects of finding something decent but I'm more excited about our weather outlook. Our program is showing five knots or less for the morning and afternoon so we're hoping the weatherman calls it right and Mama Nature gives us a break from yesterdays beating.

Anyhow, we're munchin' on some prime rib and getting our tackle put together. We'll be looking for a school in the dark to shut down on and we'll take things from there. Wish us luck and we'll chat with you tomorrow.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-19-2016 Hello Everyone, Today we woke up having hopes of a repeat day of yesterday. We started off the day by hooking a nice yellowfin of the same size quality as yesterday, but the school did not stick. We had our work cut out for us chasing school after school, spot after spot with the same results. The tuna had lock jaw today and had very suspect behavior of line shy bluefin tuna. Needless to say it was tough, we scraped up another school sized tuna and had a nice flash of yellowtail right at sunset. A nice way to finish off a great trip with a small shooter of yellowtail right before we rode off into the sunset and pointed to boat to San Diego. We Would like to thank Dave Dolan for putting together a great "lets talk hook up" four day trip. We sure had a great time catching some yellows and some of the best quality tuna we will likely see on a four day trip. We will be in bright and early tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, Team Supreme

The Tribute out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA checked in today with a wrap up from a 1.5 Day trip. 33 anglers finished with 1 Bluefin Tuna and 51 Yellowfin Tuna.

Open trips this week: Tuesday, November 12 departs at 9 PM for 1.5 Day Thursday, November 14 departs at 9 PM for Overnight Limited Load Friday, November 1.5 departs at 9 P for 1.5 Day

Captain Mike Pritchard checked in at 8:15 AM with an audio update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. We have been drifting since 6:30. We have 8 or 9 hanging right now. We have had a bunch of casualties due to old line or locked up drags. We have had some quality action so far today. Our next trip is a light load. Come on out fishing with us for trophy Bluefin Tuna.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-17-2016 Good morning everyone. We ended up driving around most of the day yesterday and seeing only a few schools after the first two hours. That Bluefin was not up and foaming and boiling and crashing and jumping and breezing like it has been. Late in the day we got on eight Breezers that were the size of Midtown Manhattan that we made long drifts flying the kites, fly lining, sinker fishing, jig fishing etc. with no luck. Just as we were getting ready to take off to the Yellowfin tuna grounds after dinner we had a nice school come under and managed to hook a 115 pounder and landed it. Quite a long day but we ended up with two beautiful tuna both caught in the dark and both caught on iron. The majority of the Bluefin that is caught, is caught that way or on fly fish trolled with the kite through big schools. Today we will be fishing Yellowfin tuna and hitting kelp patties for Yellowtail and Dorado. Our weather is good and were looking for a little bit more action than one in the morning and one at the end of the day. We will check with you later. Have a great day. The Polaris supreme crew.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-06-2016 Hello everyone our morning started off with something different around the boat as we started our day of fishing for the bluefin tuna. What was it? Squid!! And yes we scooped up some to use for bait. sure enough we put it to good use with our first bluefin tuna of the morning being hooded on it. With live squid and sardines we did well today. Like Art Gutierrez landing a bluefin tuna over 90 pounds after a long and hard battle. most of the fish were 60-90 pounds. And yes we did have several heartbreaks which is part of the game with fish of this size. But we did land our fair share today. Great fishing all around.     I'm pretty sure I have written a report very similar to this one not too long ago but here we go anyways.  We had a good morning and a good evening today.  It was the in between part that stunk for us.  It was a long afternoon but you always forget about the afternoon when you're pulling on fish into dark.  I don't even remember anymore.  Anyways we ended up with just shy of a hundred tuna for the day and we're going to drift all night and start where we end up in the morning.  We will be drifting because it is fantastic weather and we don't need to put out the sea anchor or idle up and down swell all night because it's good drifting.

 So here's what went down today aboard the Polaris Supreme.  We slept in this morning.  Breakfast wasn't until 9ish.  As far as the crew goes Tommy made us a whole long sheet of a work list that kept us busy most of the day.  After breakfast we did our wahoo seminar which we were all delighted to have deckhand Mark present it to us.  Fantastic.  After that JC had a gift for us all.  A brand new pair of electric sunglasses which for me could not have come at a better time.  I was in dire straights for shades so THANK YOU JC!!!  After was the movie of the day which was Wolf Street and in between was lunch and then some rigging of tackle by some of the passengers.  Nap time was next and then cocktail hour and now we're doing dinner.  Cornish game hens tonight.  Last night was prime rib.  And after is bed time because we have another tough day to look forward to tomorrow.
