Morning shot of the Supreme. Hope everyone is having a great pre Nee Year week!
Sep. 5
Today was a slow day out here for us. We never did find a school. We did a little bit of scratching in the morning, the afternoon was non existent and then we scratched some for about an hour into dark. Only a couple schools seen out here today. It was a slow day for most. We're going to stick it out here for the morning and if we don't see anything in the first couple of hours we're going to work up towards home and look along the way. We're still a long way from home. There's plenty of fishy ground above here too. The weather was OK today. I wouldn't sign up for it. A little breezy and choppy but plenty fishable. Looks like we can expect it better tomorrow and a very nice ride up. Hope they're right.
10 yellowfin 1 bluefin 3 skipjack. We put our McDonough charter group on enough fish to sink the boat. Unfortunately the tuna didnβt want much to do with our hooks.

Well, we didn't really connect on the tuna today. Darn. I really thought it was going to happen too. Oh well. That's all we can say. Oh well. We gave it our best shot until around 2:00 this afternoon and then we had to call it. There is another trip leaving tomorrow so we have to go home. We caught a bunch of litluns today and some nice yellows on kelps but we didn't find our 100 fish stop on the 15-22 pound tuna.
World class yellowtail fishing this trip for some world class folks and I mean that. Even if they are Giants fans. We have a busy day tomorrow. There's a lot to get done prior to take off including the official weigh in.
That's right folks. You heard it here first. Justin vs. Mark. October 1stish. He who loses the most weight gets crowned Polaris Supreme's first ever Biggest Loser! I'm so excited!
Don't forget to book for the 4 day leaving in 10 days. There isn't room enough for all our readers but a few of you for sure. Don't miss out on the chance of a lifetime. You can see this action in person and root on your favorite person or just catch a bunch of fish, if that's what you're into.
See you there!
Limits of yellowtail 4 dorado 1 yellowfin. The beautiful fall weather and fun fishing continues.
