oc maryland Fishing Report 2024

Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "The fishing has started off well this morning. So far we have 20 Bluefin and a handful of Skipjack. Weather conditions are good, hopefully the good fishing will continue. We'll keep you posted."

Wow what a first week of fishing.

There is a huge spectrum of fish to catch out there now. Some days it's 60-80 lb Bluefin, then 100-200 lb Bluefin , the next it's 12-20 lb Yellowtail and Dorado on kelp patties, then 20-40 lb Bluefin and Yellowfin tuna the next! The local waters are full of life right now. We can't wait to get back out there this Sunday for our open 1.5 day trip!

Capt Ryan Bostain checked in from the San Diego the 3/4 day boat out of Seaforth Landing to report that the Yellowtail are starting to bite down at the Coronados. Yesterday we had 96 Yellowtail and today we 114 Yellowtail for 30 anglers, come on down the are biting everything. We are getting them on surface iron, yoyo jigs, dropper loops and fly lining baits, the water is very nice and clean. When you come down make sure to bring your passport as it is required.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-20-2016 As I'm writing this right now the boat looks like a ghost ship. The boys are down for the count, after our first day of phenomenal Wahoo fishing and another day of great Wahoo fishing tuna fishing and yellowtail fishing into the dark they are some whipped puppies. In about 59 minutes we are going to try to do it all over again. I'm really curious to see how many are up as early as they were the first day! Thanks for tuning in we will try to get you some more reports for the upcoming day. Don't count on them coming out to quick we've been swamped! And yes it is still great weather! Wow what a great day! We had an awesome morning bite on the Dorado. Big bulls and cows. We took a break at lunch and Pedro prepared a Southwestern 10 oz. burger that was delicious. He really nails the menu with his creative spices and herbs. Back out on the deck we had excellent fishing on the wahoo throughout the whole day. And then to finish up the day we caught some yellowfin tuna. Just a great, fun day. Dinner tonight was a spicy ginger shrimp curry. Another great dish. Our weather all day has been beautiful. I hear it's been crappy up above and hope it lies down before we start up the line.

Looks like the weather will be great this weekend, there have been some yellowfin around we know where the Bluefin are and they should start biting at any given time. Capt Mike Pritchard from the Tribute called in a trip wrap for todays trip, it was very good fishing this morning, with some highs and lows. We ended with 31 mixed tuna and 25 very nice grade yellowtail. Yo yo and fly lining worked very well for, and are still getting some hook ups in the dark while sitting on a kelp patty. We are not quite into the zone yet and we have had a few stops on the jigs. It looks like there is a new body of fish moving in. These Bluefin Tuna are in the 12 to 18 pound class. We will update you later. Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
