today was wild! we hit the water in rockport around sunrise, hoping to beat the storms. the wind was a bit strong but manageable. i used my trusty light tackle rod with a popping cork and live shrimp. man, did they love that! hooked into a nice redfish, must've been around 25 inches, fought like a champ! also caught 3 trout, all decent size. the thunder started rumbling after noon and we decided to call it before the rain hit. even with the looming storms, the fishing was on fire! will def go back tomorrow if the weather allows! 🎣
