got a late start, mist was rolling in. ended up with only one small salmon but it was still fresh and tasty! used a spinner, guess they’re just not biting much this time of year? need to try again when it clears up
hit the coast early, weather was grey but decent. caught a few tiny rockfish, nothing big but fun! used a drop shot rig with some gulp worms. got to enjoy the peace before the wind kicked in, was a nice day overall
took the kayak out today, paddled around the bay. didn’t expect much but caught 2 nice striper! they were hidden near the rocks, used a white swimbait. it was super chill until the wind picked up, then i was paddling for my life haha
definitely my best day fishing so far! landed 3 nice halibut, biggest was like 8lbs! used a live sardine on the bottom, it was a fight to reel em in but felt soooo good. weather was perfect despite the clouds. stoked!
went to the pier this morning, not much action. ended up with just a couple of small perch. water was a lil choppy, tried using my new fly rod but had to switch back to bait 2 hours in... kinda frustrating!
