Hello everyone, Today we had another nice day of yellowtail fishing. We got a good morning jump on these guys and put quite a few on the boat right off the bat. There has been some tuna schools roaming around this area as well, we picked off a few mixed in with the yellowtail. However when we went out to try and find them we only had a couple jig strikes and skip jack breezers. That about wraps up our Seeker/Sadie Hawkins 3 day charter. Hello everyone,

today we finished up fishing for these big blue fin tuna. It was an amazing finish. Everyone on the boat landed a fish 130 pounds or bigger up to 220. Incredible fishing for these big blue fin and enough to go around for everyone we will be in the dock tomorrow to get a final weight on these things.

Where'd they go?? We got a few wahoo today, but nothing like yesterday. Our day consisted of scratching away at yellowfin, yellowtail, pargo, dorado, and wahoo on some different spots. Don't get me wrong. It was not a bad day fishing, just not like yesterday. Our weather is still good. Actually it's too hot, the water is 83 degrees. Not bad for the fish, but warm for us. Tomorrow we will be off shore kelping for wahoo, dorado and tuna until it's time to head home and wind up this fantastic trip. It's going to be a great fall season. Thanks for checking in. Captain Steve Gawitt just called in with an update from Aztec with an offshore update from San Diego. This morning on our first drift put 24 Bluefin Tuna, 2 Yellowfin Tuna, and 1 Yellowtail on the deck. We are seeing bigger Bluefin Tuna and we have had a fair amount of missed fish.

  I just woke up and thought I'd better write this before I forget about it.  Last night after our late hit we made a 5 mile move tighter to the Island in this little bay, if you would.  Man o man was it good sleeping.  The boat just gently rocked us to sleep.  Gently.  The AC was pumping and we were all beat from our day and kind of sick of the wind, so we came over here, out of the wind and fell asleep with our thumbs in our mouths.  Now it's getting about time to fish.  I'll let everyone sleep another hour and then it's wake up time.  See you tonight.

  Midday report:  We left The Island around noon.  It wasn't as good today as it was yesterday.  It was still good, we were just hoping for a little more in a shorter time.  It might be because of all the bait that's around here.  I can't imagine they haven't been just stuffing there face all night and morning.  i've been fishing that Island for 15 years and I haven't seen anything like it.  Even the Godfather himself called it an "unbelievable" amount of bait there.  And then at noon when we were looking for one more stop, all the life vanished  Just like that.  Poof.  I didn't give it any time after that looking.  We left right away.  So it took us a couple hours longer then I was expecting and we were just a stop shy of what I wanted but we're still looking good on yellowtail.  We saved a little room for tomorrow. 

  So we took off in search of tuna/dorado this afternoon, and we were unsuccessful.  The ride up so far has been fine.  The weather forecast looks good for tomorrow.  It should be good to start and only get better throughout the day.  We deserve it.  The reports above in tomorrows tuna zone for us were good today.  There were some productive kelps up there today.  We want some.

Today we we picked at the quality Tuna we have been after. Many successes before the sharks took their share. The fish were on both live bait and chunk bait. It was nice catching them on the chunk because we were able to use big hooks and heavy line. As opposed to small hooks and light line.

Pictured here is a neat looking Pilot Fish. Really cool looking blue fish with black stripes. They hang out with sharks waiting for bits and pieces from a kill to float back to them. Also pictured is a delicious sashimi spread prepared by chef Mike!

We are going to run an open party limited load trip on Sunday March 2nd. The trip will cost $130 and will depart at 9pm on the night of the 1st. If you are interested in going we will be looking for squid and targeting seabass in the morning before trying to fill our limits with tasty rockfish.
