Hello everyone, Today we spent the day Wahoo fishing. It was a pretty slow day, conditions were poor and the current was not happening in our favor. We scoured the grounds for only a few Wahoo and Dorado. There were a few Marlin mixed in as well. Defiantly not good enough to keep us here tomorrow. We are off to try for tuna tomorrow. Stopping a school of tuna that is swimming at 8 kts often requires a lot of chum. Thanks to the best bait company in the business @everinghambaitbarge we managed to get a few schools to hang out with us for awhile. 42 bluefin 18 yellowtail.

Our partnership with the best live bait boats in the world allowed us to catch 126 yellowfin from 15-25 lbs and 13 bluefin from 30-50 lbs. a 20 lb rod with a #2 hook, a 30 lb rod with a #1 or #2 hook and a 40 lb rod with a #1 hook is all you need. Please be sure to have at least 150 feet of mono on top of your braid. Shock absorption is very important when fighting a fish on a small hook. Fish the heaviest line the fish are willing to bite.

115 yellowfin tuna 98 skipjack tuna. 80 of our yellowfin were 18-30 lbs. the rest were 10 pounders. The skipjack are extra large. Please bring a 25 lb rod and a 40 or 50 lb rod. Size #2 hooks for your 25 lb rod and size #1 for your 40 or 50 lb rod.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in tonight with an update from The San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we caught 40 yellowtail. We had a couple good shots at them today. Yes you need a passport and sorry I won't tell you where we caught them unless I'm related to you.
