big heavy rain hit us at the pier today, but I still went out. managed to catch a few nice triggers before the storm got too wild. used some cut bait, they were biting like crazy just before it poured! sometimes you gotta brave the weather haha.
went back to deerfield today, still overcast, but not too windy which was nice. tried my luck with some artificial lures and landed a nice 5lb flounder! second time I’ve ever caught one, was super stoked!
finally some sun peeking through the clouds! fished with the guys and got a few smaller snappers and a big one about 7lbs! used live bait, action was pretty steady! can't wait for more days like this!
another overcast day at the pier, but hey, the fish don’t care! caught a bunch of little lane snappers using squid. nothing too big but kept us busy for a few hours. guys were joking and having a blast, that’s what matters!
fished under gray clouds again today, temp was nice tho! hooked into a couple of small tarpon, around 5-6lbs using live bait. they fought hard! love that adrenaline rush! looking forward to the next trip.
