lake poway Fishing Report 2024

Yesterday we went out with 21 anglers. Final fish count for the day was. 2 lingcod 9 sheephead 67 red rockcod 132 miscellaneous rockfish. We fished deep water in the morning and shallow water in the afternoon. We are scheduled to fish everyday. Make those reservations and come join us.

Well. That's a wrap ... We ended up with 51 bluefin tuna for our morning efforts and then we left. We also had a kelp for 19 cow yella. Our traveling weather is fantastic and our ETA is looking like around 0700 hours tomorrow morning and the boat will be turning around and departing on Mary Chaparro's 6-day adventure. Hi friends. Tough day out here on the Bluefin grounds for us. We saw a whole lot of fish today but we only had a couple of drifts that produced numbers for us. We had a respectable day but with the volume of fish we saw this afternoon, we were really hoping for a banner day but it never happened. The weather was beautiful once again so we're pumped about that but we were really hoping for another drift like we had yesterday. Anyhow, that's fishing and we're currently enjoying a southeasterly course to our next destination.

For tomorrows agenda, we'll be looking for bait and Yellowtail. It's time for a change of pace and we're hoping to get bent on some yella and some carnada manana. The gang is doing just fine and they're all having just a splendid time. It's dinner time and I have no idea what we're having. Some type of stuffed pork chop in a puff pastry or something. Chef Shawn, he's crazy. We'll chat with you tomorrow.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 11-27-2018 The tuna started biting right away this morning! We had three going right off the bat in the gray light. We stayed real consistent all the way until about 11 AM keeping 3 to 5 going most of the time. It slowed the rest of the day but we still continue to pick right into the dark. Most of the fish were around 80 pounds with a few in the 60 pound range. Another great day of fishing! Our weather has been great. And of course were going to do this tomorrow. Wish us luck. Well, things do change. Conditions aren't looking good. The water here is dirty and just not right for a good yellow bite. Hope it changes.

Nov. 6

                Hello you all.  It's November 6th and we have a full load for a day and a half trip.  Nov. 6.  Now that's 2015 for ya.  So we're back out again and this time it's for an extended time because we have this 1.5 day and then we arrive/depart on a 10 day.  We're fueled and Smarted and Finaled up and ready to do it all baby.  First things first though.  We took straight sardine because we're going to mix it up this trip.  We're going to skip the veal tuna at the bank and fish for yellows at Clemente and look for a dorado kelp in the afternoon.  See you tomorrow.

                                                                               

Greetings Apollo Anglers:

We have a two day charter that needs anglers. This trip departs Thursday 9/13 at 9 p.m. fishing Friday 9/14 and Sat. 9/15. This trip is limited to 18 passengers. Cost is $650 per angler and includes food and permits. This is a great opportunity to fish on an ultra limited charter with a great group of people.
