Lake Minocqua Fishing Report

got out on the 24th, it rained a bit but that didn’t stop me. caught a few small ones, used a jig and it worked surprisingly well. water was still cold but those fish were hungry! kinda nice to fish in the rain, real peaceful out there.

22nd was a bummer, overcast all day and that wind was no joke! tried a few different spots but only got nibbles. we ended up just goofing off and enjoying the lake. sometimes it’s not about the catch, right?

went out on the 19th with my buddy, but man it was cold and cloudy! not the best conditions for fishing, only managed to catch one tiny bass. everything was slow... but hey, it was still nice to be out there ya know?

fished on the 12th and wow it was a warm one! caught 5 bass in total, biggest was a solid 4lbs. can’t believe it! used a topwater frog, they were hitting it like crazy at dawn. feeling real good about the summer fishing season now!

11th was lit! got on the lake around 6 am, the sun was shining and the wind picked up. we got lucky and landed a couple of really nice walleye, biggest was 24 inches! rapala crankbaits worked like a charm. wish i coulda stayed out longer but had to get back for dinner.
