Keep Cool when it gets HOT and HEAVY! We had fantastic Yellowfin Tuna fishing today. They bit very well and grade was excellent. 15-25 lbs average with 35-40lbers mixed in. The only thing hotter than the fishing was the Baja sun. Pictured here is chef Mike bring water to crewmen Ben and the rest of the passengers during a hot bite. I missed a few days. I apologize. After we left Cedros we ran up the line to fish a day offshore. We hit a couple good kelps and a few kelps that we scratched good off of and ended the day with good numbers on yellowtail and dorado. We finished our last day fishing for albacore. A slow day. We saw a little bit of fish all day long and a couple of schools through out the day. We ended the day good with a bite right before dark. We're heading in now leaving tomorrow on another 5-day.

The Voyager just got a opening on the 28th of may and will be running a overnight mexican coast trip. Limited to only 16 passengers!!! Spring is here and good signs of surface action are appearing day to day. The cost of the trip is $115.00 and this will include your mexican permit. A DRIFT WE Will NEVER FORGET ! Today we went out with 6 passengers who ignored yesterday’s fish count and understand that fishing is more about spending time in nature than harvesting meat. After our 3 hour drift everyone onboard had either landed or fought and released a fish of a lifetime. Final tally was 7 bluefin, 6@ 110-150 and 1@65 lbs. please come prepared with a 25 lb rod a a 40 lb rod and a 50-80 lb rod. Today’s best setup was a 4oz. torpedo sinker rubber banded above a 2/0 circle hook on 50-80 lb.

Today was a nice mixed day. The day started off with 3 Tuna hungry Grouper on the big gear! they wanted the rocks bad, but our anglers wanted them more! Later we were able to catch some Wahoo and bigger Dorado on Kelps. A well rounded quality day down south. We are looking forward to what tomorrow brings, Team Supreme

Hello Everyone, Today we had an excellent day of fishing for both Yellowtail and Blue fin Tuna. The Yellowtail were all excellent grade 15-35 lbs, most of the Tuna were 12-20 lbs except for two standouts. One Close to 100 lbs and one well over 200 lbs. An excellent start to the trip with an incredible variety of fish. Hopefully it continues tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Nov. 9

                We had a pretty good day today.  We were due in the zone at 8:40 AM but we didn't make that ETA.  We got caught up in a stop a few miles prior that bit pretty well for us.  Then we spent maybe too much time in that zone looking for another deal that never came.  So we mosied on down and found another little zone which gave us our best stop of the day.  That was a good stop.  We caught a couple tuna reaching close to 40 pounds on that one.  And then the life pretty much disappeared until late.  So from lunch until 5 or so we didn't catch anything.  Then wouldn't you know it, before dark we started seeing life again and stopping the boat and catching fish again.  I guarantee you us catching fish right before dark and nothing since lunch wasn't a coincidence.  The fish were down hanging low where we couldn't see them and came up late.  All and all it was a good day.  A nice little starter for our 10 day trip.  15-25 pound yellowfin mostly with a few we let go and some nearing 40.

 

                The weather held up for us today too.  It got a little breezy in the afternoon but then it came down late again.  We're heading down tonight and we're going to try our hand at some yellers tomorrow morning and take it from there.  We're hoping we get a weather window in the morning.  It looks like we should but the wind should be with us tomorrow night on through hopefully only the next day.

 

                I'm supposed to let mama bear know that your forever cub is kicking butt.  He got himself a nice one and plenty others today.  He won't stop yappin about how much he loves and misses his mommy though.  Frankly, we're getting tired of hearing it.
