jacksonville nc Fishing Report 2025

Oct. 17th

 

We had some good yellowtail fishing today. It took a little while to get going this morning but we had a couple hours of good tailing before it shut off before lunch like its been doing in the zone we were in. After things shut off we made a 4 hour move and had some good fishing again for about an hour before dark. The weather once again was great and we're currently traveling north to look for the bluefin tomorrow. Things have slowed down tremendously up there lately but we're going to look in some newer grounds where we see some good looking water on our sea surface temp charts. There will be a few of us spread out looking tomorrow so hopefully between the three of us we can get something located.

I told Mark today I didn't think he could go one hour without talking. He didn't think so either but he tried and was surprisingly successful. He can not talk for one hour. I think he might die if he tried to do it all day though so I'm not going to challenge him to that.

Good evening everyone, Just finished up a tough day here tuna fishing. Conditions really changed for the worse. With no reason behind it, the fish simply moved out. However this is not a problem, we have simply reverted back to search mode. With everyone spread far and wide trying to cover the vast ocean, we are bound to find something soon. However this does conclude our trip. We would like to thank LETS TALK HOOK UP! for putting on this four day and look forward to next year! Hello everyone, We had a fantastic day of fishing today. Great Bluefin tuna fishing. The fish were 20-40 lbs, and were biting extremely well. Great action from sunrise until 3 pm. Hopefully we have similar action tomorrow. We will be targeting Bluefin as well as Yellowtail. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-30-2018 We changed locations last night to some new country. It paid off very well! We started off the morning with excellent quality yellowfin tuna fishing 25-40 pounds. By 10 oclock we where looking for Wahoo the rest of the day and scratched fairly well! We have had good weather but this afternoon it is starting to turn. It looks like it's going to be choppy day tomorrow. Sea you then, let you know how it goes. The Polaris supreme crew!

Today we came across some Killer Whales today! Pretty cool!

A rare and incredible sight in these parts! 

Yesterday we went out with 21 anglers. Final fish count for the day was. 2 lingcod 9 sheephead 67 red rockcod 132 miscellaneous rockfish. We fished deep water in the morning and shallow water in the afternoon. We are scheduled to fish everyday. Make those reservations and come join us.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an update from “The San Diego” out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we fished offshore and saw very good sign of big Bluefin Tuna.
We caught 13 Bluefin for our 22 passengers. The fish are between 50 and 70 pounds. So the quality is very nice. They are not biting full speed yet but we did see some amazing schools today.
