Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-14-2016 Our morning has started off fantastic we are having great yellowtail fishing a lot of yo-yo iron fish dropper loop fishing but not on the bottom 90 feet down and of course fly line fishing is working pretty good it's only 9:30 and we got a heck of a start on the day. Hopefully this will keep up it looks like the upper yellowfin tuna area in Mexico is really developing into something that may be in the game plan for us in the future. The trip we are out on is Archie Steele's annual five day trip the first picture is of him and his family grinding on a couple fish. Check with you later in the day. Polaris supreme crew.

Fresh and Fast! Recently we have been doing a lot of quick turnarounds to try and maximize fishing time for our clients. Recently we had a beautiful 200 lb Bluefin Tuna donated to the boat. Thanks to Sean and the people of Fishermans Processing we were able to have the Tuna filleted, packaged, and returned to the the boat in time for an early departure. Because of this our passengers were able to enjoy fresh Bluefin Tuna sushi on our way down the following trip. Thank YOU for going the extra mile for us so WE could go the extra mile for our customers!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-08-2016 Good evening Supreme fans. We departed nice and early this morning on Brad Bogart's 6th Annual 2 day Tuna Charter. The crew worked double time to get the boat untied sooner than normal to get Brad and company out on the water and fishing ASAP and we did. We left the dock with a fairly set game plan and within a couple hours that all totally changed. Just shows you how things can change at the drop of a hat. On our way out to our intended destination, we happened to stumble upon a school of a really nice grade of yellowfin tuna that wanted to chew good. It was change of pace fishing and catching this 30 lb. grade of tuna that we haven't seen in some time. It's a bonus when you get to change your plans for the better. We spent the rest of the afternoon on these very manageable schools until it was dinner time. Tomorrow should fair out the same way with hopes of this fish sticking around and making a day of it. The guys went to bed after a nice prime rib dinner and a few less fish tags on their belts ready to get back at it in the morning. Check in tomorrow to see how we ended up. I can't close this report out without giving a huge thank you to Vernon "Paddy" Burke and his Simpitico crew for an epic 5 day trip. These guys hung in there with 5 days of trophy style bluefin fishing and we know they are taking home some sore arms and backs to the great state of Texas. They say everything is bigger in Texas, well not your bluefin tuna boys! We're already looking forward to seeing them back next year for another week out on the water. Good evening everyone, Today we did some inshore fishing. Conditions were not favorable, not a lot of current left the fish very unwilling. However were able to scratch together a day of nice rockfish, Sheepshead, and a variety of other fish. Including the inshore trifectra: Yellowtail, Halibut, and White Seabass! A nice day to get out of the weather! We are headed back down to try for big bluefin tomorrow! Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme Update List 08-11-2012

 

Upon arriving to the dock this morning I was reminded of how long I have been sportfishing and more accurately running boats (36 and 34 years respectively). My good friend and charter head Eric Rogger was just arriving for his annual 5 day trip with his nephew Alex in tow. I marked this as Eric's 30th year chartering he immediately disagreed and said it was only 20. I was able to find a 1984 Polaris Deluxe schedule And prove he had been chartering on boats I have run for at least 28 years strait.That is the oldest schedule I could find If you have a older one I would love a copy. To put this in perspective Drew was 4 years old and Richie wouldn't be conceived for another 2 years and 3 months. I have no idea where I was going with this except to prove that Eric and I are old so I will get back to fishing.

Eric has again put together a great group of guys and Tanya. Yes thats 3 trips in a row we have had a women on board and not strait smelly guys. Except for Richie who just went down to the galley and tore out one of the perfume or calogne pages ( I can't tell which ) out of the latest issue of GQ magazine and rubbed it all over his chest. Every one is pretty excited and ready to get at it. We will be fishing at 05:30 am tomorrow.wish us luck.

I decided since Tanya has been riding with us every year in the six years that I've been here and she's our third female in a row on the boat, that I would pull out all the stops. I decided to rub Allure Homme Sport EAU Extreme by Chanel -- since my allure is so extreme. It's a hypnotizing musk that reminds me of my days attending the Cape Cod Classic, where my Ralph Lauren crew neck sweater rested ever so gently around the neck of my wrinkleless polo shirt, my khakis where high and tight, and my Sperry Topsiders were as fresh out of the box as the morning dew that rested ever so gently on the jibb boom of fathers sailing yacht "Br-easy Money". Arnie Palmers anyone? Mmm-hmmm, yes please, bar patron, put this round on my fathers tab and have Phillipe set the reservations for 7:30 at the Osprey Country Club . Ahhh, you're right, Thomas Rothery, where has the time gone? With that said, let's go kill some fish and get real stinky.

Hello Everyone, We had another nice day today. Mainly catching good Yellowtail and Bluefin. It was a slow pick in the morning and slowed around lunch time. The second half of the day we focused on the larger tuna. We were able to get one bite, unfortunately the hook pulled. Slower action on the larger fish today. Tomorrow we will be switching gears to Kelp patty fishing. In hopes of Dorado and Yellowtail. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

Still sign of yellowtail around but we were unable to capture one. Our passengers went home with plenty of taco meat.

Good fishing in the morning with 70 to 100 pound fish. Most again were released. Late in the day we got lucky with two more big fish. Young Gunnar got another one over 200, and Charlie got one right at 200. Just a great trip with George Davis and his group, and an awesome crew. We will be into the Cape tomorrow to drop off the passengers to fly home and be at Fisherman's Landing on Wednesday.
