day started off nice but turned into a stormy mess. caught a couple trout before the weather hit, but left early to avoid getting soaked! still managed to get a decent 16 incher on a nightcrawler. can’t wait to return when the weather clears up.
fished the guadalupe again, had some thundery weather swirling around. caught 3 pretty good ones, biggest was 19 inches! used a jig, they were hitting really good before the storm. packed up when the wind picked up but it was fun while it lasted!
well, today was a bit weird. Started off sunny but clouds rolled in with some light rain. lost a nice trout on a spinner but managed to land a 16 incher later on. water was running a bit high. it was a little chilly but still had a good time. will be back for sure!
sunny day! finally got a chance to hit the river, temp around 24.7. didn't catch a ton but hooked a beautiful 17in rainbow on a small dry fly! gnarly little fight too. spent some time just relaxin by the water, can't complain! gonna be back!
back on the guadalupe today! overcast skies again but the fish were feedin. landed 5 avg size trout, biggest was about 18 inches, on a black woolly bugger. wind was light which made it even better. missed a few bites but overall a solid session!
