hit the Eel River this evening, overcast again. got a decent size catfish, around 6lbs! tried using chicken liver for bait and it worked like a charm. good times chillin by the bank, can’t beat it. looking forward to my next trip!
went back to the river today, looked sketchy with patches of rain. had my best luck with the small minnows, caught 5 small trout! weather didn’t ruin the vibe, just brought a few extra layers! just loves the feeling of being out there. can’t wait to go again!
crazy weather today, heavy rain showers at Eel River but I still went out. managed to catch a couple of eels, they were slithering around everywhere! used some stink bait, which was messy but effective lol. overall a good time despite getting soaked. no regrets!
it rained sporadically today while I fished at Eel River. it was cold and wet but I caught a couple of nice bass. using a crankbait did the trick! even caught one that fought so hard I thought it was a snag at first. can’t let drizzle ruin the fun! 🎣
fished the river today with a buddy, it was sunny and a bit windy! got lucky and pulled in a 7lb salmon! used a spinning rod with a silver spoon lure. the action was crazy, we had bites all afternoon. we ended up catching a bunch of little ones too. epic day!
