24 yellowtail 1 bluefin. Still fish around but the changing conditions have them acting up.
13 bluefin(20-80lbs) 3 yellowfin. Locating a school that wanted to stick around the boat was challenging but we managed to scratch a few.]
22 yellowtail 16 barracuda 5 bass. Flyline baits on 25 pound line worked best.
18 yellowfin tuna 13 skipjack. Unfortunately all of the fish we found were in the vicinity of bait. Tuna that have not eaten for a few hours are much easier to catch than tuna that are gorging themselves on anchovies.
Right now a boat could leave San Diego and choose any direction except east and see tuna. Unbelievable amount of fish, however bites are very hard to come by. 4 bluefin from 60-85 lbs 2 yellowfin tuna at 15 pounds
Fishing reports for east texas are updated each week, usually by Thursday morning. The reports are compiled by an outside contractor who receives the information from bait shops, marinas and fishing guides.
