what a day! heavy rain but I went anyway. honestly, the fishing was on fire! caught a big ol' 8lb bass using a topwater lure that I’ve been itching to try. the storm had 'em fired up! soaked but super stoked. can’t wait to come back when it’s sunny!
fished Cherokee today under cloudy skies. not ideal but hey, the fish were biting! landed 5 bluegills, decent size too, maybe 1 lb each. they were hitting on just plain worms. i decided to take a break from the boat and fish from shore, really relaxing. can't beat the lake life!
another soggy day, but still managed some fun! caught a couple nice bass on a spinnerbait near the docks. the rain was patchy but the fish were biting! biggest was maybe 4lbs. packed rain gear so we were good, hoping for sunnier skies next time out!
man, today was a wet one! we waited for the rain to chill out then headed out. caught 3 nice channel cats, biggest was like 7lbs! used cut bait, they were hungry for sure. muddy water added to the challenge but we figured it out. loved every moment despite the drizzle!
overcast day on Cherokee... kinda gloomy, but you know, the fish were happy! caught a few smallies drifting a worm along the rocks, pretty chill vibe. nothing huge, but managed 4 around 2-3 lbs, felt good battling the wind. planning another trip next week, gotta love this place.
