cabo Fishing Report 2024

We have a 2-day trip coming up and need some people to help fill it. This could be a great opportunity to get in on some sea bass action. There were already a few 40# sea bass caught at the channel islands last weekend Here is the info for the trip. I hope to see you there.

Departs: Friday April 29, 2011, (8:00 p.m.)
Fish: Saturday, April 30, 2011 and Sunday May 1st, 2011
Returns: Sunday, May 1, 2011 (evening)
Landing: Sea Landing, Santa Barbara, CA
Targeted Species: Seabass, Halibut and Rockfish
Meals: Has not been included
Drinks: Have not been included
Fish Cleaning, Jack pot, and Gratuity are extra

Reserving a spot: In order to reserve your spot, I will need a 50%
deposit ($160.00). The balance shall be due one month prior to
departure.
Cancellation Policy: No refunds can be issued; it is your
responsibility to find a replacement. In the event the boat is cancelled
due to inclement weather the trip will be re-scheduled.

We have had some great fishing this morning. Including nice sized lingcod and trophy reds. We are also getting some action on the bank rockfish too.The SAT TV is ready for the football games and we look forward to seeing who wins in today's playoff games.

Jodie called in with this report for the Apollo. "We have an Open Party 2 Day Trip for July 4th & 5th. We will be leaving from Fisherman's Landing on July 3rd at 10:00 0'clock. Hi friends. The boat arrived this morning from the Let's Talk Hook-Up 4-day trip this morning at 0830 hours and by 1200 hours, we shoved off the docks with Joe Beck and friends for the annual Bob Vance/Joe Beck 5-day trip. Big fish honors from last trip went to Rudy V. with a 50.2 lb. yellowfin tuna. Way to go, Rudy. Way to give a hundred and ten percent. Anyhow, we cleared the point this afternoon with a load of bait that looks like a sardine civil war broke out a few days prior and we're transporting the wounded to a secure location to be euthanized. Ugh. We'll be closely monitoring their health and we'll see how they swim throughout the trip. For now, it's still alive. Yaaay! To quote deckhand Jed Scott, "It is what it is."

So that is all. We'll be on the hunt for tuna and other various kelp related species of size for day one of the trip. We'll be in the zone at first light and we'll report back to you tomorrow. Later.

The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

8 yellowtail and an assortment of bottom critters. Made multiple stops on different schools of yellowtail throughout the day for very little reaction. They are there but currently in a funk. Tomorrow is a new day.

WOW!! What an incredible day!!! This albacore is in the cooler 76 degree water. It wants to bite wide open. Can't say enough about how much fun today was catching big fat jumbo albacore. They tired our anglers out. By the end of the day only a few were still standing. Chef Pedro fixed a spicy teriyaki albacore lunch that was fantastic. For dinner he served some delicious veal chops. Today was just a great. this is what albacore fishing is supposed to be like.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-12-2019 Fun morning fishing for yellowtail today everybody got to pull on a couple and it was nice quality. Again our weather is beautiful and everybody had a great day. Were off traveling up the line for home the rest of the day and probably going to make a shortstop tomorrow for a little fun table fare! Add a little color to our fish. The Polaris supreme crew!
