Hello everyone, Today there was a ton of fish both Yellowfin and Bluefin Tuna. However was tough to get them to stick. We did manage to land some of both species. The grade is great we just need that consistent bite. We will be trying a new area tomorrow. Will report again then, Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-09-2019 This morning the bite started out early. We caught quite a bit of variety, an Amoco Jack, sum Pargo, an Amberjack, and the yellowfin tuna were still present! As daylight came around the skipjack slowly took over but not before we made a nice day out of it on yellowfin tuna with a few Wahoo sprinkled in. Guys are having a great time and our weather is beautiful. The Polaris supreme crew!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-31-2016 We were all over the place yesterday we started off in the morning fishing yellowtail at one island with massive spots of bait and birds that were sitting on the water doing nothing with no signs of yellowtail. That didn't last long before we moved to another island for similar results basically no catching. After that we took off offshore and had a little bit of success on kelp's with Dorado and Yellowtail and that wound up our day! Throughout the day of we obviously had in mind catching yellowtail at one of the locations we frequented but in the back of our mind was our destination for tomorrow the local yellowtail kelp patty fishing grounds where the guys are just sleighing them! We got some beautiful weather and will be there tomorrow wish us luck. The Polaris supreme crew

I had such a great time fishing with Captain Ryan Bostian and his crew aboard the San Diego that I couldn't resist jumping aboard again for another shot at some of those big Coronado Island yellows. There are big schools of yellowtail roaming the Coronado Islands and recent fish counts have been ranging anywhere from just a few fish to 70-80 fish per trip. No sense trying to figure it out. Pick a day and go !!! Captain Bostian and the San Diego fish the Coronado Islands everyday, so nobody knows them better or fishes them harder than the Captain and his crew. We looked for and caught a few barracuda along the coast as we made our way down to the Coronados. We worked several areas of both islands looking for a school of yellows that wanted to stay with the boat. We saw plenty of action around the boat and would hook one or two yellows at each spot, but we could never get them to bite aggresively. We landed 10-11 nice yellows highlighted by Aiyana Schwartz's huge jackpot yellow that she hooked on a dropper looped sardine. All in all a great day on the water with an excellent chance at catching a trophy fish. The Coronado Islands are about to break wide open and Captain Bostian and the crew aboard the San Diego will be there. Captain Mike Pritchard called in this afternoon to let us know that The Tribute is running an overnight trip departing tomorrow night. We will be fishing the Coronado Islands for Yellowtail. Conditions have been very good. You can book online via our website or call Seaforth Sportfishing at (619) 224-3383 to get in on the action.

Yesterday we went out with 21 anglers. Final fish count for the day was. 2 lingcod 9 sheephead 67 red rockcod 132 miscellaneous rockfish. We fished deep water in the morning and shallow water in the afternoon. We are scheduled to fish everyday. Make those reservations and come join us.

16 Yellowfin Tuna and 2 Bluefin Tuna for our repeat group today. Mike and his pals did just fine with the live sardine and #25-30 floro leader. We lost only 4 or so fish all day. Looking forward to getting back on it tomorrow. Welcome to Summer!!!

Wednesday, August 7th, 2013

Hi friends. We arrived back to the docks this morning at 06:30 hours and did our usual offloading procedures. Unloaded Tom and the boys, their gear, their beautiful load of Bluefin and Yellowtail, loaded groceries, cleaned the boat, cleaned the fish holds, refueled, changed oil/fuel filters, the girls made up the bunks with fresh linens and cleaned, freshwater the boat, vaccuum the upper deck/wheelhouse, clean/restock the galley, do the windows, load our new passengers and their gear, and take off for another adventure all within 4 hours of docking. We hustle, we know. We also managed a mass substitution of team members. Riddler, Jed, Shawn, and Dee headed for home and Drew, Matt, Schooler, and Ali relieved the gang from last trip.

With that, we headed to the bait recievers, loaded up on a decent load of sardines, and cleared the point by noon. After Schoolers famous bratwurst lunch, we knocked out our tackle seminar and hung out for a bit until we started fishing around 17:00 hours.

Our fishing was just OK. We managed to land a couple handfuls of Bluefin in the 30 lb. range before the sun settled below the horizon and nightfall ended our day. It was a very picky bite but the quality is what we're likin' the most. We're going to enjoy our traditional first night dinner of prime rib, idle downswell for a calm dinner seating/comfy nights sleep, and hit this again first thing tomorrow morning.

In closing, we're hopeful about the potential for tomorrow. Our weather is a bit sloppy but it's plenty fishable; just a tad bit wet and windy. Anyhow, we're here and we're looking forward to snappin' Bluefin tomorrow morning. Wish us luck.
