baum lake Fishing Report 2025

Good evening everyone, Today we did some inshore fishing. Conditions were not favorable, not a lot of current left the fish very unwilling. However were able to scratch together a day of nice rockfish, Sheepshead, and a variety of other fish. Including the inshore trifectra: Yellowtail, Halibut, and White Seabass! A nice day to get out of the weather! We are headed back down to try for big bluefin tomorrow! Wish us luck, Team Supreme

July 16
    Arrive depart day today.  We did the whole routine, I hung out with my baby for an hour and it was time to set sail again.  We left on another 5 day with my buddy Archie and his gang and a few other regulars.  We did well at the bait receivers.  We loaded up on small sardine and left the bay and headed out to do some fishing in the afternoon.  We didn't do much.  A couple of yellowfin is all we caught.  We did see a couple of big schools of 50-80 pound tuna that didn't care we were there at all.  No bites.  We're eating prime rib and heading down in nice weather.  We're going to try for some yellows on the coast in the morning and then head offshore for the afternoon hunting yellowfin.

 

Captain Mike Pritchard called in with a wrap up from today's trip. We ended up with a great Yellowtail Kelp. We had 195 fish for our 28 people on this Okuma Sponsored trip. We have an extended 1.5 day trip departing on Friday night. Call Seaforth now at (619) 224-3383 to get in on the action.

Good Morning Everyone. We had a great mixed bag fishing today. We caught some great grade Yellowtail, Yellowfin Tuna, and trophy Grouper. We managed to land one Wahoo as well. Lot of fish around today, just a lack of current to activate them. Hopefully we have some current tomorrow. Will Report then, Team Supreme

POLARIS SUPREME TRIP REPORT 11-08-2020 TO 11-12-2020 Day 6 and 7 ( that would be the 8th and 9th) where very similar. Both days we had fair pickings on the wahoo on the sardine during the day and Incredibility Awesome fishing on 30 to 40 pound Yellow tail at nite. A couple of great days of fishing. Weather was a little breezy but not to bad all and all good weather except our traveling to get here that was rough going. Day 8 the 10th we spent the morning fishing kelp patty's for Dorado and Wahoo. The guys kept 14 Dorado and released the rest and we had 2 wahoo get away. The rest of the day was spent traveling and napping. We where really burning the candle at both end of the stick fishing all day for Wahoo and all night for monster Yellow tail. The sleep was well earned. Day 9 and 10. That's today and tomorrow. Today is scrub the boat day and we have great weather to do it in. Tomorrow we will be arriving early to unload a nice catch of fish. Hi friends. Pretty fun day today. One small yellowfin jig strike turned into a plunker on 30-70 lb. bluefin tuna. We had a lot of heartbreaks but we did manage to land a few of those beauties. Love seein' those big brutes. No prettier fish in the ocean, that's for sure. Anyhow, around lunch time, we had to call it a trip and make our way back home. It was a great way to end our day and the Blue/White group is pumped.

Mr. Gledhill is one of the most gracious chartermaster you could ever have and he assembled a great group of guys to take fishing with him. The cocktails and wine are endless and so are the good times. Thanks, Robin.

Anyhow, we'll be arriving to the docks tomorrow at 0600 hours and the boat will be turning around and leaving for a 2-day charter. Look for reports to continue from any number of captains or crewmembers other than myself. Also, we have an 8-day trip leaving after the 2-day that has a few spots on it and in the next couple of weeks, we also have a load of 1 1/2 and 2-day trips on schedule.
