Checked out the river again on May 24th. It was patchy rain again, but conditions were decent. Managed to catch one big 4 lb trout. Used a chartreuse crankbait and boy did it work! The rain didn’t hold me back. Had a few nice bites, but the fish were kinda skittish today. Still, a good trip!
Went out in the rain on May 21st. Crazy weather! Caught 3 nice fish, all about 2 lbs each. Used a heavier lure to combat the wind. Felt like I was battling more with the weather than the fish! But it felt good to land those guys. Even in the rain, it was a good day on the water.
Tried fishing on 18th May, had some light drizzles. Didn't catch much, just one tiny trout. Used a spinnin rod and some worms, but the fish were not biting. Wind was pretty strong at times too. Just a tough day but still enjoyed the time outside. Maybe next time will be better!
Hit the river on May 15th, kinda cloudy again. Caught a couple small bass and a pike, but they were all around 1-2 lbs. Used live minnows and they worked okay. Weather was nice and cool, though. I'm just glad I got out for a few hours, even if the catch wasn't super impressive.
So I went yesterday, 10th May, and man, it was sunny and nice! Caught a few nice steelhead. One was a solid 5 lbs! Used a white spinner and it was just on fire! Water was clear, visibility was great, and those fish were hungry. Had a blast! Can't wait to go back.
