dullstroom Fishing Report 2025

Well we wound up the last day of fishing with some good offshore action on kelp patties. Everybody pulled on a lot of fish and kept 2 or 3 nice quality yellowtail and dorado to take home. Weather is absolutely superb. And so was our final dinner, steak and lobster. We'd like to thank Eric Rogger and his group for such a fun trip. Hello Supreme fans. We have finally hit our stride and started fishing.Unfortunately it happened to be right in the midst of some extremely tough fishing. Our first trip of the year was an Open party three day trip. We spent the three day searching the ocean for biting tuna as well as some inshore action. The tuna fishing was really slow but full of lots of spots of fish, and they were BIG. Bluefin well into the 150 lb class were around but not biting. We chipped away at some inshore fish and were able to put together a nice catch of quality Reds and Lingcod from the bottom. However the star of the show was hands down the jackpot fish. A 130lb Bluefin Tuna, a hard earned fish that ended in victory! These fish were big and did not make it easy to hook them or land them. Their size, abrasive teeth, and unwillingness to bite created quite the challenge.We did managed to hook 5 fish and only landed one. We are out on a two day after Independence day. Wish us Luck! Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-14-2019 After taking a little break we're back out in action today. This morning we got a nice early departure from the dock at 6 AM on The Annual OTR Eight Day Trip. It's always a fun group of people and were looking forward to getting down south into some variety! Our bait we picked up in San Diego looks great and our ride down is very comfortable. We will be spending the next two days traveling down doing the usual. Rigging tackle eating good food and taking a few naps! We had Breakfast Burritos this morning, Dorado Tacos for lunch and Prime Rib for dinner. Everyone is all tucked in and sleeping soundly. Thanks for tuning in The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Captain Mike Pritchard called in with a wrap-up from the Tribute's overnight trip today. We had 18 Bluefin Tuna and 16 yellowtail. We did have one Jumbo Bluefin at 70 pounds. Our next trip is SOLD OUT but we have a trip next week with availability. Call Seaforth at (619) 224-3383 to get in on the action.

Today was a tough day. The fish were there and the conditions were good, the fish were just less eager. Everyone was on the right program when it came to hustling the fish in to avoid the sharks. 1 yellowtail 9 calico bass 165 reds 70 assorted rockfish. Excellent bottom fishing and a token trophy.

Capt Mike Pritchard called in a wrap up from their 1.5 day trip, the fishing was great we ended the trip with 121 Yellowfin Tuna and 68 very nice grade Yellowtail. We had good weather and flat seas, looks like we have more Yellowfin moving up. We do have a few openings for a trip leaving on Thursday, if you want to get on this trip give the landing a call 619-224-3383. Our trips are starting to fill up fast with all these fish around, now is the time to get in on the action.
