The hours and hours of driving are quickly forgot as soon as your struck by mahi madness. Limits of mahi mahi and 20 yellowtail.

July 25          
  We had a very busy turn around today.  It was time to change oil and fuel filters and make a repair.  But all is good and we're under way.  Our new computers are getting more and more dialed in.  I now have spell check.  I love sitting back in the chair now and typing these reports.  Not now though because the letters shrunk on me again.  I'm going to have to figure that out.  So here we go again on another 5 day.  Our baits good we think.  Time will always tell.  It's looking like things might get a bit breezy the next few days so we have Cedros in mind.  We're going to fish tuna tomorrow first and then most likely fish the Island the day after for a couple days and let the weather come down before finishing up in tuna land for our last day.  That's the game plan at the moment anyway.  Things change out here all the time though.  In the end we just take it one day at a time.

  The official weigh in is in.  We have Mark weighing in at 231.4 pounds.  And in the left corner we have Justin weighing in at 228.2 pounds.  If your just tuning in, he who loses the most weight by October 1 wins the bet.  I'll keep you posted after each progress report hopefully at the end of each trip.  This excites me.  Competition.  I love it.
         

Captian Ryan Bostian called in this evening with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. We had our first trip of the year today and we caught 42 Yellowtail (18 to 25 pounds). This was our first trip after doing a couple months of boat work. We did catch fish on using surface iron and yoyo too! If you plan on coming out on the San Diego please be prepared to fish both Surface Iron and Yoyo. You might also want to bring a bait stick too!

Real good fishing today in the morning on 70-125 lb. tuna. The afternoon seemed like it was going to be slow, but low and behold late in the day we got what we think is the biggest cow of the season so far. It taped out at 364 lbs. We see what the scales say.

Hello everyone how about a little recap of our seven day AHI Charter. We spent two days traveling down to the hot Wahoo grounds in absolutely beautiful flat, whether enjoying the company of all of our good friends old and new! From there proceeded to have some of the most awesome Wahoo fishing for the next three days with a few hundred football yellowfin tuna and a handful of quality Dorado thrown in. The next day we spent scrounging around for a shot at giving everybody a chance to catch a yellowtail. And here we are today traveling up and doing what we always do on the last day hanging out telling stories taking naps and oh yeah we have Wi-Fi so burning up megabytes on Mexicans tell cell. We will be into the dock tomorrow morning and unload our beautiful catch. If you got a chance swing by the landing at daylight and take a peek. The Polaris supreme will be at the dock until November 6 doing boat work and then we will depart on our limited load 10 day trip with Jim Holman and the boys! POLARIS SUPREME TRIP REPORT 09-23-2020 We departed today on Joe Becks annual 8 day trip.The weather is great and our bait stinks. lots of spinners. hopefully enough will cure out to make the trip. Not much to report the usual rigging eating and napping. The picture is of our new storage box an rod holders we built in the bow to replace the old bait tank. We will be traveling all day tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

How's it going everyone, We have just wrapped up our second day of fishing. We started up the morning in prime yellowfin country. The morning began with short stops with fish being caught on the troll and live baits on the slide. After searching the area for a couple hours we were able to find what we wanted, a big school of Yellowfin tuna that were eager to come aboard the Polaris Supreme. From skip-jigs to dead bait these hungry yellowfin wanted it all. During the late morning fishing noticeably slowed, and we decided work our way out of that yellowfin zone and begin heading towards an area were we will be fishing for bigger grade Yellowtail. Filled with anticipation and a delicious chicken dinner, we all hit the sack early to be well rested for the day to come! Also on side note, we just had a spot open up on our next trip, the Beck 5 day. A great group of guys to fish with and a great time of year to fish! Tight lines, Team Supreme

July 10
 Alright everyone.  As I promised, July 10th has come and we are now out for the summer/fall so be prepared for a wonderful trip report like I have always brought, every night now.  After finishing a few things boat work style, and saying goodbye to the friends and family, we were ready to get out here for the long haul and that's just what we're doing.
 
 We showed up bright and early, put on some gas, loaded the herms(passengers) and left for the bait receivers.  We cant complain about the bait.  A bit on the larger side so we don't get as many but it's nice and healthy so we know they won't die and we'll catch fish with them.  Reports sound pretty good for the most part. Pretty good local action for the tunas with some better grade yellows showing up under the kelps.  The medium range yellowfin schools disappeared in the last few days but we know they'll show up somewhere soon.  You can still at least make a day of it yellowtailing  at the islands, and the ridge and rocks produce steady numbers of tuna, tail, and wahoo.  Speaking of wahoo, our 9 day in September has room.  Don't miss the trip of a lifetime.  Light load, lots of fish.  Come on, come on, come on.  Don't make me beg here.

 Anyways we're going to start out fishing offshore tomorrow and I don't know why I say start out because we'll be doing it all day.  We'll be hunting tuna and tails.  Pretty good reports in the zone we'll be rolling through the last couple days and we'd like to get in on that.  Tails and tuna baby, tails and tuna.

 On a sad note, we don't have one of our soldiers out with us this trip and we're not sure how long we'll be missing him at the moment.  Our dog Tommie "Gunny" Miles had some health issues he needed to handle.  I'm not going to go into the details but he's doing better and we hope to have him back as soon as possible.  Health comes first though.  I'm sure he's reading so maybe shoot him out a little "get better Guns" on FB.  We love you bud.
