25 pass. 17 bluefin 16 yellowfin. Most bluefin were 30-50lbs. The savvy angler would bring a 20lb rod and a 30-40lb rod with assortment of hooks from size 4-2/0. We are very light on reservations all next week. Call 619-224-3383 and make those resos. Bluefin is way better than turkey for Thanksgiving.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 10-21-2019 Good start on the trip today. Good weather all day long and scratched away at the tuna and had a good day on the Wahoo. We didn't get any pictures of the tuna but here's a few Wahoo pictures for the day. The guys are all doing well and having a great time. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-24-2016 As reported yesterday it was a very tough day fishing. We spent the whole day stopping on spot after spot after spot. It got to a point where I thought maybe the passengers didn't think we were really seen fish. One of the things we noticed was where the yellowfin tuna was hanging out, even though it didn't bite It Turns out it was good Intel for today. It did pay off this morning, we ended up shutting down right at daylight on a really nice school that stuck with this until after lunchtime. The grade of fish was 35 to 80 pounds. We hung with it for about another two hours and it just wouldn't bite. After about three hours of searching we finally found where the fish had moved to while we were drifting all morning. We were rewarded with another afternoon bite equal to what we caught in the morning we ended up with a fantastic day of quality, I say quality yellowfin tuna. We also had in the mix by half a dozen nice grade bluefin tuna. We are heading in and going to drop off our Joe Beck charter and pick up Beverly and her group. Today was mainly a travel day. We have a strong current working against us so we only had time for a couple drifts. However we did manage to land some 15 lb Yellowtail bottom fish. Our ETA for tomorrow is 530 to the dock.

51 bass 36 barracuda 1 sheepshead. We spent our day looking for a new zone with better conditions. We saw a couple schools of yellowtail but did not connect. Still enjoyed fun fishing in excellent weather.

Captain Steve Gawitt just called in with an update from Aztec with an offshore update from San Diego. This morning on our first drift put 24 Bluefin Tuna, 2 Yellowfin Tuna, and 1 Yellowtail on the deck. We are seeing bigger Bluefin Tuna and we have had a fair amount of missed fish.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-01-2016 Good afternoon Polaris Supreme fans. Today we ended our Chaparro 5 day trip with a bang!!! We found plenty of kelps holding yellowtail and a few dorado which put smiles on all. It stared off early today with trolling team one setting out their rods and the mast-man up and looking. It didn't take long for our first kelp to come into view. As we pulled up to our first kelp and lines went into the water the yellowtail rushed the boat and and ate our baits. After repeating that several times we got what we needed for the trip. What a way to end the trip! Everyone is breaking down their gear and the crew is ready to clean the boat as we are now headed for San Diego. Gunny and the Supreme Team!
